its a practice that helps everyone with the waitlisting and converting etc.
How else will you get to know the waitlist movement?
open excel is of the coolest things ever engineered by google. its very helpful for online real time collaboration. Ofcourse these guys are way smarter than we are right? 😃 lets not do "naach naa jaane aangan teda". MBAs have to do every naach possible with or without the aangan.
Just in case you don't know Excel will be the most powerful tool you use in MBA apart from PowerPoint.
It was the most stupid thing I have ever seen to have deformed the headings with name and cat score. Ask when you don't know. You will disturb other participants in the forum (Although I am not one yet).

Well I know mdi did thatbut Tapmi has declared result of pgdm only and having waitlist of 1000 people does not make sense.

I am waitlisted too, with no wait-list number like everybody else.
Just wanna say that as only 120 seats in PGDM are AICTE approved and rest 60 each in PGDM, IB,BFS,HCM are yet to be approved so TAPMI is waiting for its approval and then they will declare the result by 15th May or so, with either AICTE or Mannipal University approval..
## Also the people who are waitlisted for PGDM comprise of 2 categories of people:
1)who opted for PGDM only
2)who opted for PGDM, IB/BFS/HCM
Due to the second category of people which are very high in number too the wait-list should comprise of people selected for IB/BFS/HCM and also those wait-listed for these courses.
For overall 360 seats there will be a good wait-list of 600+ people i.e 240(seats in IB/BFS/HCM)+ 360(minimum wait-list calls).
## And the reason we cant find many people in selected category is that, people whom TAPMI considered perfect for first list would have mostly got admission in other B-schools like IIM's, IMT-G, IMI, XIMB etc.. so they might have not considered checking there result for TAPMI...
Don't send others into panic mode with such comments!! 
1000 students in waitlist? That's 43% of total call-getters (2334).
500-600 is still a reasonable number!! But 1000? Sounds unlikely!

And you're right! The guys who got thru colleges like IIMs / XLRI / Symbi / FMS / IMT / NMIMS won't even bother checking their TAPMI status!

Dude do your homework before commenting on others. It's not me who said waitlist could be 1000 but our fellow puys understand. I am the one who don't believe in it.
Also request you and other puys to read few post of the threads before commenting.
