Hi, Bharat. Does TAPMI declare the criteria for selecting the students? In my Director Interview, the Director had told me that they will be putting up the criteria after the results have been announced.
The criteria would be shared, but not now. In our case that was declared only once the classes started along with the marks as to which candidate scored how much.
I think 1000+ calls seems to be exaggeration.I guess maximum should be 600. Anyway lots of questions to be answered.Keeping fingers crossed until Monday .ATB to all and anyways whats ur take on various other courses apart from PGDM.What do u say Puys?

Gud post buddy....
As far as BFSI ( Banking and Finance) is concered, Manipal is know for its innovations in banking..especially rural sector ...even before government of india took such initiative..and TAPMI profs are one among the best for banking
Now IB (International Business) was the core competency of TAPMI and it was reputed few yrs back jst lik Marketing is today...telling so coz my cousin did IB from there 7 yrs back and today is the zone head in Microsoft drawing more than 1.5 lakhs/month
No idea about healthcare...but one thing is for sure..TAPMI is one best place 2 learn (with superb profs, discipline and their innovative teaching methods..to which i feel even seniors will agree) and graduate from as an MBA..I seriously sometimes feel that TAPMI should be ranked much higher than few other better ranked/marketed B-Schools
Keep on checking the website till you don't get the Official Letter of Admission from TAPMI! There have been many posts from fellow puys claiming a change in result overnight! :lookround: And if possible, call up TAPMI tomorrow to confirm your admission
selected for PGDM.. is it the final result or v need to wait till tomorrow??
Robin, This list is ONLY for PGDM! It's clearly mentioned on the Results page (after you input your CAT Regn No.) that "The lists for IB, BFS and HCM will be declared on a later date!" I think they've released the PGDM results first due to obvious reasons: The no. of guys giving first preference as PGDM would be significantly higher. If they don't crack PGDM, they can consider taking up whatever is their next preference.
P.S: I'm not a senior, but just another TAPMI aspirant! ;)
I am very interested in BFSI course . Infact i marked it as first preference before PGDM .I would just want to know what are the chances of placements and also what can be expected of value addition by the course. On the face of it ,it looks a pretty good course for a person interested in Finance as checked from TAPMI website,But my apprehensions are becoz this is first batch from this specialization .Can u or any Puy or a Seniour throw some light on what we can expect.

I feel the BFSI course would be tailored over broad Finance to cater Banking..value addition should be great considering gud profs with vast hands-on experience in banking, as well the MIP project....wherein lot of banking profiles are offered currently..see the website- Student Profile
As far as placements are concerned itz gonna be same for all of us..so if u hav it in u..u can hav it wth u :D..hope this post helped u 😃
Hi puys ..I have a we school call also...So waiting for my waitlist number in tapmi..if the waitlist number is small I wish to skip we-school..what would you say??
The new BFSI course's outline is unquestionably awesome. I mean anyone who knows that he wants to be in finance, this is one huge opportunity. 3 things will come in rescue for TAPMI.
1) Brilliant Course. Its very very very complete.
2) Good Finance Professors
3) Amazing Alumni in the field of Finance (including one of the pioneers in the Indian Private Equity funds, who btw is a visiting faculty at tapmi and was heard complaining about why no1 contacts him much from tapmi side 😁 so you ca imagine the love - The things you hear in wall street about finance guys getting rich are not people who work for big banks but people who open their own private equity firms. Eg- George Soros, Charles Munger, Buffet) but nonetheless tapmi has alumni is likes of nomura and other big banks as well (last checked). I think future TAPMI students who get into finance should try CFA, FRM as well.
4) Remember that Late T.A.Pai (founder) was himself a banker. I am sure Tapmi knows what its doing.
BFSI course in Tapmi will not fail at any cost. If done right it can become one of its first very successful kind in India.

Excellent points mate and well articulated too.
But I actually tot that Marketing was the most sought after stream in TAPMI. Have second tots abt it now.
Any idea on the marketing and operations stream at TAPMI??
But I still cant understand why TAPMI is such an under-ranked institute. Guess we guys along with seniors need to be the torch bearers of that change...
