But I still cant understand why TAPMI is such an under-ranked institute. Guess we guys along with seniors need to be the torch bearers of that change...

Very very true... I seriously feel TAPMI is not leveraging it 25 year old legacy to make it big in the MBA scene...
But I feel we cannot criticize the seniors for that. They mite actually be trying hard towards that goal. We do not kno wat the ground realities are, perhaps they maybe other issues which are not in their control as well...

Absolutely right...Just ask moderators to close all the polls on PG as it is of no use. because not everyone is on PG.
I wrote this post only after spreadsheet entries approached 100. so it is sufficiently big sample space. and sample analysis is done throughout the world to take big decisions.
my friend ,have you heard about sample set...although the polls at pagalguy may not be exhaustive but it still gives a good trend towards the no of people converted ,who are joining and who are not...i believe here most of the time we have a random set of people out of the whole lot...

I hope you are right:)..and tapmi would not give waitlist of 1000+ as it is not logical too..:lookround:
huum I was just lil panicked because of unusual trend of result initially...
But last year they gave second waitlist and few converted people in second list could not join the Tapmi as they had already paid fees too other institutes and it was too late for refund..according to last years thread...
Does the fees at TAPMI last year were inclusive of Laptop?
Guys, laptop costs was included in last year's fee under academic resources. So all the students had got the laptop from college. However it MAY change this year. So I suggest that none of you purchase a laptop in a haste for TAPMI use unless you get a confirmation that laptops will not be given from TAPMI. Or else, u'll end up like me with 2laptops

Guys, there are a lot of concerns raised about the TAPMI rankings. My question is, how reliable do you think are these rankings? TAPMI for a few years had opted out of participating in these rankings. the reasons are obvious. do you want to participate in a ranking survey which ultimately ranks a non-competent B-School "ahead of the IIMs", no.1 in "global exposure" and all that? So during these times, the ranking went down However, from the last 2yrs, things have changed and the college actively participates in "most" of the B-School surveys. The college now has a dedicated wing for "branding" also. We do not expect things to change overnight. I will just say that we are on the right track. Hope this clears the ranking issue.

HMMMM man thanks for ur message u know some thing this year i converted nirma kjsomiaya fore-pgdm liba gim also u go any where ask for some ones advice they say did u get tapmi marketing??? this alone suggests what tapmi is in mba community BFS there even not required to speak much it is going to rock for sure and is going to attract the best business brands nmims 30 % placment in BFS at times of recession industry grew by 9% .IB and HCM even if they give me by chance a big nooooooooooooooooo to it any ways my opinion any ways thanks for ur concern what ever happens in life we must move on

what if some one already had a laptop? Person like me wont be looking for toshiba for sure. what if person wanted to buy some other brand of laptop?

In our batch, whether some1 had his own laptop or some1 purchased a new one, the Toshiba laptop was given as it was already included in the fees. But, I guess that is not likely to be the case this time around. But I informed this to caution ppl who plan to purchase a new laptop for TAPMI use. Wait for information from TAPMI before you do.
