TCS:
pros:- instant income, ok salary, net addition in future MBA plans..
cons:- May not get time to study this year as training is long, Frustrating wait for date of joining which may go up to next year, waste of time if doj is too late
IRMA(CPDM):
pros: good salary after 2 year, can for executive MBA after 5 years,
cons:no instant salary, u could have better prospect next year..
nearly same goes for TISS.
now the most important thing is what u can do.. if u have something for rural managment u can select IRMA and then TISS, perform in college, get good salary and go for executive MBA after five year to get you final boost. so it will work good...
you can join TCS, but then prob is you may not be able to prepare at all..for MBA ever.. and you may not ever get better than this... and like me and priyanka you may get frustrating work which will ruin your appettite for study.. till u resign...
My suggestion.. wait for CAT result... see what u can have in hand... MBA from college like IRMA is always better than TCS particularly as fresher....however.. u know better that can u get IIM or good college next year or not... Best part at IRMA is fee is less.. and output is good... so...

my college awards B.E degree...but while registering for tcs,i gave my degree as B.TECH by mistake...in the interim offer letter also my degree is b.tech but in my friend's it is b.e.I notified this to my college authorities and they asked me not to worry as i will get a detailed offer letter in some time and that i will have to register again and that is when i can rectify my mistake.....so is that a matter of concern or it does not matter much.....

if you have courage to survive that long...then minimum 4 year around..

I am moving into TCS with a designation named "Consultant" and Career Band C4. Can anyone let me know what is the kind of role (like Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Delivery Head) does a person with C4 band handles.
Please help with your answers if this is a very senior position within TCS.
A consultant is an excellent pay grade. You will definitely be Group Leader or above. Delivery managers are usually Assistant consultants. If you are lucky, you can even be an account owner. Next grades are Senior Consultant & Principal consultant after which you become a VP.

Ur offer letter must have reference number... call TCS mumbai... and ask them what can be done... though it is not a big deal... mail them and call them.. just to keep ur ass clean... chill dude.

i had lived in tamilnadu for 4 years and i know how bad they are.... i am simply saying u made it worse.. but no arguments on this... as we all know... how sucking these tamils are.... so we on same page... baki to situ handle karane pe ati hai... anyway...
training can be anywhere in india, ahmedabad,bhubneshwar,bangalore,hyderabad,coimbatore, trichi and all... and difficulty of training depends on place.. at coimbator its toughest.. (tamil effect:they want to kill us)... hyd is bit on tougher side.. rest is cooll... however... TCS believes in selection rather than rejection and thats make training cool... so just chill dude...

The band they are offering is c1... should i negotiate afetr the offer letter is generated....??
