I do not think this is like a Project Lead role. Pay Structure should have intimated to you. No one hires without divulging the pay structure.
Can you mention a little background of yours ?


I have worked for Application Support for the past 4 years and this not in the BPO/KPO sector. I'm a System Analyst with my present employer.

So was wondering is it worth attending the interview or not.

They are offering to pay 7.2 and above.

Hi all. I got placed in TCS on jan 2011. Yet to finish final sem.

The gross salary mentioned in offer letter is 26Ks and 5.5K is variable allowance. In that case what salary can i expect in my training period? Probably 21Ks?

Also heard that TCS increases pay scales to 3.9 LPA. Can anyone working in TCS confirm it?

I dont know what you are referring as CTC?

If you are talking about HRA, LTA related stuff then it is mentioned as 9400 ..

I have 30 Months Work-Ex in IT...! Doing MBA from Tier-II College and will passout in 2011..!! How much can I expect from TCS in terms of Package..!!

Well, what you are asking is very vague and generic. It would help if you could give more specifics. Actually, a lot depends on the role you get.
You can go through the past posts on this thread where people have mentioned their TCS offers. You might get a clue there.

Oops sorry. For us also CTC is 3.16 LPA. What i meant to ask is increment in CTC from 3.16 to 3.9 .. Not about increment in two years. Is that true? Could you pls tell me what is on-site opportunity?

dude in training u will get 18 k excluding house .
if they provide u house then u will recieve 14k.
after training u can expect 22 or 23k pm

also regarding increse in salery hike it is not for freshers
the experienced gyes working in tcs may expect a hike.
rest r rumors......................

Same is the case with me but I have 3 of my close friends working with TCS since years.

On that basis, I can say, you can expect around 18k during the ILP, i.e, training period of 90 days. And then regular 26,199 or somewhere around that.

Increment history of TCS says, on an average a person gets an increment of 15% at the end of year.

Yup thats what my senior who works for tcs told me. 19k during training without accomodation and 26k post training.

Yeah dude.. Post training you will get just 22-23K in hand.
