Number of attempts?
Last year the cutoff was 67. this time any expected cutoff ? For me English was tough, Maths was calculative and lengthy, Reasoning was Moderate to tough. In GK questions were asked from April - June month.

how much of priority is ecgc going to give to descriptive section,in case of preparing interview call merit list?Just as an example,if someone scores 165 out of 200 but only 10-12 in descriptive,his total marks is 175 out of 250.Again another person scores 145 out of 200 and 30 in descriptive,taking the total to same 175.Under this circumstance,whom would ecgc prefer?stronger objective or stronger descriptive?Or will the person who scores too low in descriptive be eliminated,even though he manages to score 160+ in objective?

personally what i felt,its hard to write anything on foreign policy or india's global trade,in 200 words,equivalent to just one paragraph or the length of a general intro for a full length essay :) These topics like foreign policy or global trade of india are too large and diversified.They should have given relatively narrowed down topics like blockchain,financial bills like FRDI, IBBI ,economic growth,protectionism etc,which can be summed up in 200 words with decent amount of points being mentioned. An essay needs 500 words at the minimum,hence when the word limit is 200 ,topics should be congruently chosen.I chose to write on India's global trade.The two subpoints I mentioned for india's poor performance in global economy are Systemic issues(lack of connectivity of MSME and agriculture to global market) and policy paralysis(legislative&executive).those of u who chose this topic,how did u sum up the essay?Just trying to understand how better i could have summed it up within 200 words.
Got many feedbacks and based on that I can say the exam was easy. GA may be a bit out of the anticipated period but you can't do anything and moreover it was same for everyone. Descriptive will play a major role in merit building if you qualify the objective test by a good margin over the cutoff. Don't have the wrong assumption of clearing the merit list if either of the two, objective or descriptive, have been not attempted satisfactorily good and over the cutoff. Cutoff, this time may surge around to 120-130 given the number of candidates. But also, there were many candidates absent in the exam so one cannot wildly guess. All the best to everyone. Will write a detailed note on Interview Preparation after the results are declared.
