GMAT is a worth shot. CAT ka kuch pata nahin rehta..!! I just see one main difference --

CAT deo toh TRY YOUR LUCK
GMAT deo toh TRY YOUR Apti, Knowledge, Verbal and whateva it is..!! Sahi testing wahin hoti hai !! CAT saala bhasaad hai !!

GMAT eng is infact a lot easier and even logical
Aisa kya ??? meri gaadi kabhi CAT k aage badhi hi nahi.. 😞 ab toh sochna padega then !!

Just to give my 2 cents, having given both GMAT and CAT, I believe GMAT requires more effort and focus than CAT. So its not easier if that is what you meant.

A lot of people seem to have their eyes set on the next big exam, i.e., XAT. So let us hold a confy for XAT next weekend.

saturday nite sounds good

Just to add to my previous point. GMAT is also not entirely fair. At the end of the day, it also uses algorithms to decide on questions sequence/scores and heaven knows that perfect algorithms cannot be created. It is just that they have made it more accurate or so it seems 😃

I am saying this because to this date I feel GMAT betrayed me and stopped me from getting a perfect score :P

Atleast they have some algorithms....we don't even know what CAT does with our raw scores (which we aren't told)....but lets hope for the best...we have spent so much time preparing for CAT...hopefully Jan 9th has something pleasant to offer.

yess pakka hain...IIMK i think..its convener said that they wld come out with the whole process after CAT results..lets c whether he keeps his promise or not..

yes, let us hope that this year things go well and every deserving candidate gets his/her due. Each exam has its own pros and cons, but yes among the global papers GMAT is the best though GRE is also a comprehensive exam.

GRE did seem to reflect my preparation more accurately. I got 50-60 points less than I expected but then I can easily attribute that kind of a variation to a bad day or some statistical variation.

CAT is well, CAT. :P
But, XAT,IIFT should properly reflect our preparation and work.
@Omkarp @nits2811 @anupam001 yr IIFT k liye kya prep kar rhe ho...need some inputs
