A happy hello to everyone reading this.
I am a MBA student at IILM University, Gurugram.
Recently I got to attend an alumini session where our alumini talked about their lookup towards the college. What they learnt, what they wanted from the college and from themselves, what they actually achieved.
Yes it is true that everyone wants a degree and a placement out of a college but that’s not it right? We want to be a better person, polish ourselves, start perceiving ourselves and world in a better way, explore more, learn more, know more. This is exactly what our alumini also wanted. Just like me they were also after not only academics but also extra- curriculum. They also entrolled themselves in every other activity, looked for opprtunity to take up position in societies, tackeled different situations.
But except these simillarities, they convinced me that one should not be rigid while looking for opportunities while placements. I was very rigid that I want myself to be around digital marketing only. But now I believe that this should not be how we at this stage react. I wanted to explore so I should. Not saying that one should not look up for what they want, they should , but also be open for more.
