Hi Prachi,

Clark Morris took my interview. He majorly focused on my past and current job profile, short and long term goals, plan B(as in if you are not admitted to Thunderbird), which other colleges you have applied to, leadership example,social service,why Thunderbird,etc. He was very encouraging throughout our conversation and made me feel very comfortable. At the end he will ask you to ask any questions you might have about Thunderbird.Make sure to go through your resume thoroughly before the interview.

Hey Nidhi,

The interview is telephonic and you can expect to have a pleasant session with Jay;he is the director of admissions at Thunderbird. The questions were pretty much on the same lines as I have described above and I believe you just have to be yourself in responding to their questions. I guess what they really look at is the way you respond to traditional questions and how interactive the conversation turns out to be. Make sure to have your resume in front of you at the time of interview as they might ask few of the questions directly from there.

I have a low(550) gmat...thats one reason m kinda scared.
Moreover my profile is like:

Engineering in Electronics
Around 4 year full time work ex in Core networks/telecom.

How bout ur scholarships....??
And how much time did dey take after interview to reply back..?

Hi Nidhi,

Even though your score is low, I believe Thunderbird had accepted applicants with this score in d past...
So I guess it all comes down to your esssays and the interview..You have to be at your best in the interview.

I have received $25000 scholarship..
they usually takes 5-6 weeks after the interview to let you know their decision.

Hey Nidhi,

Yes,in all probabilities I would be joining Thunderbird.
I also have the admit from George Washington Universty...too costly and University of Illinois. Waitlist from Purdue.

Have a SPJain,SIngapore admit.Received a T-Bird admit with 75k SCHOLARSHIP. Torn between S.P.Jain and T-Bird now. Watsayu? Need some quick advice here..

Hi Sandy,

Congrats on a great schol....I guess you have to be sure as to where you would like to work post MBA. If u r targeting Asia or more specifically India ,then SPJain might be a better bet for you but if you don't have any such thing in mind, then probably the global image of Thunderbird would help u go places.

Lots of Indian companies(specially IT) recruit from SPJain Singapore. I believe SPJain would give you kind of a assured placement while at Thunderbird,u would hv to make ur way out..
