Haven't seen a thread for Fall 2011 MBA applicants. Hence initiated one. Request other people who had applied/applying for UBC to come aboard. I have submitted my application for R1 on 30th November. Eagerly awaiting for their response. Here is my profile in brief

GMAT : 700/5.5
Work Ex : 58 months (at present) across diverse sectors of Growth Consulting, Derivatives Trading and IT
Acads : Average from one of top 10 tech institutes in the country
Decent extra curriculars

Hi, I am applying for fall 2011. I just submitted the application fee. Is there anything else i need to do. I dont see a submit your application button on their website

Work Ex : 30 months ( 2 yrs IT , 6 months as a trainer)
Acads: decent
Decent extra curriculars ( played soccer at national level and state level athletics)
Community Service restricted to blood donation

I have opted for face-2-face interview with Arthur Redillas in Bangalore on 15th January. Lets see how it goes

The interview was fine although i was asked a lot of questions, wasn't really expecting so many of em 😁 .

- Why MBA
- Why Sauder
- What would you look for in your team members
- What would you do if you weren't accepted by any graduate program
- How would you stand out in the class

There were a few more but i dont remember them now :D. Hope it helpes and all the best for the interviews you all.

Attended interview with Arthur redillas on 15 Jan in Bangalore. It was a nice discussion. He has a list of questions in a paper and he would note down the answers given by us. Some of the questions are

- One reason for applying to sauder MBA?
- Tell me about your career?
- Why MBA?
- Why specific specilization (Based on our choice)
- What qualities you look for in selecting your team members?
- What if you are not selected in Sauder?
- What r the unique things about you that makes you stand apart from others?
- How would you convince a potential employer?

Expect some questions based on the answers given...

I heard they would be announcing the Round 1 applicants result in a week or so.

I too attended interview in Bangalore.. The interview questions were almost the same as mentioned in the posts above..Arthur redillas told me that the results for R1 applicants will be out by next week. Since I applied in R2 , my result will be out in mid of Feb.

Arthur told me that 21st is the deadline they are looking at... so all R1 applicants should get the result by 22nd...

I was told that round one result should be out by end of this week and as I was round 2 applicant , I would get my result in first week of feb.

The inevitable questions and my personal questions

*How is the placement scenario for the last batch and in canada in general??
*What is the scope for supply chain management specilization?
*Is the course considered as a 2 year course (for which the VISA rules are different) or a 16 month course with regards to VISA?

I had an interview on the 15th. I was said that the results would b out by 22nd even though I am a round 2 applicant. But I have not received any news so far. Is there someone who got a reply?.
