Hi Everyone,
I took GMAT last year and scored 710(Q:51,V:34). I completed my Masters/Bachelors of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2004. Initially, I worked in a british exploration and production company named British Gas on their offshore platform near Mumbai. Then, I switched to my present American Engineering Consultancy company Fluor based in Gurgaon since past 5 months. I wish to apply to various B Schools for Fall 07 programme. I've a few extracurriculars in univ and some community service in the past couple of years. I'll have 3+ years of experience by next july.
I'm really confused over the choice of schools to apply to. I see myself as consultant/business analyst in the short term post MBA and in General Management in the long run.
I've been scanning the schools and shortlisted a few : Stanford, Chicago, Sloan, Tuck, INSEAD and Darden. But I dont really know whether apping to Stanford and using my energy/money is worth it ? Do I really have a semblance of a chance considering the average class scores / backgrounds they admit ? What other schools can i apply to ? Waiting for some advice.
Cheers,
Gaurav
