i dun think thr wud be grp interview... last yr evry1 who filled da form were called.. so tht happened...

Let me give a consolidated reply to all queries.
Am not sure of what was the actual score on which the selection was made. This is 'coz the selection was made outta 150. The lowest CAT percentile that got the call is around 70, I think. Besides, many people got pretty high on the remaining 50 marks(work ex, acads, etc.) and hence got catapulted into the shortlist.
Around half the 2500 calls were from Mumbai.
No Group Interviews this year. As jay said, that was last year 'coz they had called everybody.
There will be a GD, a PI and a psychometric test. Thats it. This will be on a single day. Based on what happened last year, estimate to spend a couple of hours from the time you register and go for the GD to the time you exit the place.

this is very unfair on the the part of welingkars.....i am from chennai n in the prospectus it said that chennai is one of the centers but now i am being called to mumbai for gd/pi.....r they playing ard....totally no responsibility!!!....till now , i only c mumbai n delhi as the centers ....what happened to kolkata ,bangalore n chennai......guys who have opted these cities plz respond.....this is urgent

GD and PI panels will be different. These will be ppl from industry.
Questions asked in the PI will be on the application form that you have submitted. This will be with the panelists in the PI. So acads related questions will be only if you are unfortunate enough to get at least one of the panelists who knows your field of study.
Which GD and PI you will go to is scheduled at the time you report at the centre. So it is more chance than anything else.
GD groups will be around 10 ppl each.

kj somaiya is way better than welingkar...in terms of faculty and most importantly placements
also somaiya is well established college
i wud go for somaiya if iwas in ur place

hey there people... i Got a call from welingkar too after a series of disappointments this one looks like it might just be the last resort..havent done very badly on the cat 89.68 percentile...with a very low score in quant so i guess there arent no sectionals fro this...also Ive been waitlisted in k j somaiya so Im going to mumbai tomorrow to deposit the fee et al. (I'd hate it if i flew down just for this and then they tell me that the seats are over before my turn arrivs)...anyway I Dont really know what to choose between the two... kjs has some star value but welingkar is coming up really well...and the campus of welingkar is apparently much better..dont really know..any incerptsall u young fashionable people?

hi kunal rahul here from bhopal ...whr r u from?? even i got kj somaiya but waiting 41 so no chances... got 90 percentile and 2 yrs workex...wht do u think r my chances in welingkar.? i even got IMDR PUNE and about to submit the fee as welingkar is too late...and do u think its gud college CONSIDERING RETURN ON INVESTMENT??
