hi drabir....this is just an info i got so CAN'T confirm with any offical PDF file'sssssssss.
me had some frnds from welingkar last couple of years and they where in placement committiee......
so offical statement is " we dnt see mms and pg students different"
but my placement frnds says .....the process is:-
say a company comes "ABC" it would give a list of required students to placement committiee...it goes like this
5 from MMS, 3 from PG, &1e-PG( for example)
or something like that
Now... ur seeted in order of ur name and u r not told about the diff ........since u AND mms AND pg AND pg-buisness AND e-pg ARE all sitting together
BUT
the person taking interview knows it all.....
so MMS is given a preference to all other field
and they are usually taken i larger number to any course
like if ABC wants 4MMS they it would be 2 or3 PG BUT NOT EQUALL TO4 OR MORE THAN 4........
as i told u these are things i got frm talking to people so not official dudue

last year the cut-off for xat/cat was in the region of 80-82%ile
in the link provided they say
"Marks of all test brought on par with the given formula (Conversion table) by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai"
any idea as to what it mite be..i mean XAT/CAT all r much tougher than MAT/CET..and they cant be treated on par with them..so..gettin a percentile like 85 or so in CAT/XAT should yeild a higher weight..what say?

GIM is almost impossible..I am hearing about some other colleges for which I am getting biased opinions..The colleges are WELINGKAR,LIBA,BIMTECH,XISS..
I am having 29 months of work-ex as of now in a IT Company..
Is it worth to join any of the above mentioned colleges..

having a work exp does have a great advantage over others yaar..should apply for Wellingkar,BIMtech..and XISS.
LIBA i am not that sure you'll clear the cut offs acc to careerforum..alsothe question of "worth"..analyse wat kind of worth r you looking for, check their sites, ask ppl about the packages and courses they offer and if they fit..zero in..:neutral:

hi puys........i see a lot of discussion going on here regarding cut offs........of various colleges....i would like to share my exp. too
Last year....i attempted 43 overall with.... 8 in qa....13 in lr-dm.....and 22 in va......
my expected scores were..
qa........8
va........10
lr..........9
overall ....27+-1
when the results came.....
i got 82%ile in qa (at 8 marks)
84%ile in lr-dm(at not more than 9)
and 93%ile in va (may be at 9 as someone said he got 92 with 8 marks)
overall 93.7%ile (at not more than 27 marks out of 120)
Also one of my friends had 95%ile (at not more than 30)
As this paper was more difficult than last year's paper(specially qa and di )
and the no. of questions reduced to 104......my estimates are.....
95 %le mark should be at a percentage score of 25 odd..i.e...26 out of 104
90 %le mark should be at a percentage score of 20 odd..i.e..21 out of 104
91-93%ile marks(u can get through liba,welingker and gim with this score)......22-24 out of 104...................
So....guys ...in the range of 21-24 can expect calls from GIM,Welingker and LIBA as far as my thoughts are concerned.......26-29 can expect XIMB....and 30 and above can expect XLRI.........However....these are my personal opinions only....rest God knows.....and yes.......u will not have to wait till 31'st....if we go by last year's trend.. the results must be declared by 20th............
