Guys what are the books you all are refering to? For verbal dm and gk. Kindly suggest some good books available in the book stores not online as it would take several days to come
Analyse the following caselet and answer the question that follows:
Nicky, Manoj and Benita are graduates from a top ranked B-school. They joined ABC corporation a year ago. ABC is known for its performance oriented culture. This is the first time the organization recruited from a top ranked B-school. They are part of a five member team with two others from lower ranked B-schools. Nicky, Manoj and Benita draw 40 per cent higher salaries than other team members. This team reports to Amelia Ganeshmurthi, a senior executive.
Nicky’s performance on the job is disappointing though she is considered a very helpful person outside the workplace helping her teammates and others in the organization with their personal needs e.g. finding a place to rent, a good place to get homely food etc. On the other hand, Manoj and Benita are performing well in their respective jobs and are perceived by their teammates as important to the team. But they are not interested in helping outside the workplace. Amelia has to decide the future of the trio. She has the following options:
1. Inform the higher authorities about Nicky’s poor performance and ask them to take a call.
2. Send Nicky for a one month training earmarked for top performing employees.
3. Serve Nicky an ultimatum to improve within the next six months or get fired.

While preparing for the DM section, I have found myself a little confused about the best source for practicing DM question. Some say the IMS book is legit, while some prefer course material from CL.
If anyone could provide an honest opinion on which material to prefer, it would be a great help.
Praxis Ltd. obtained a licencse for manufaturing state of the art machinery in India. The company has a good track record of marketing, servicing and refurbishing similar equipment, for the last three decades.
Karan is a talented engineer who has been selected by the company through campus interviews, to assist in the designing of machinery. He has been given the assurance of getting a chance to work on a new project. This may give him a training opporutnity abroad. He is happy as work, and money and status are at his doors. He will be able to provide better for his retired parents.
He joins after signing a two-year bond. A week passes by and Karan and his colleagues find that the proposed project is yet to begin. So, they are asked to work in the servicing department. They are required to work on nothing but recycling of old machines, dismantling, cleaning them etc. This work is mundane, non-challenging and doesn't help them build any skills. One day, during lunch break, Karan meets Mayank, a post-graduate techie, who had happened to join the same day as Karan, obviously on a better pay package. Mayank had come to bid goodbye as he had resigned, because he had found the work profile unsuitable and unpromising.
Karan is now shocked and worried.
What should Karan's first course of action be?
Search for a better opportunity but get in-depth information about the company beforehand.

anyone pls comment. i am allready giving bulls eye xat mocks. thinking to join one more mock series. which one is better time/cl. anyone know in which xat test series there are more test takers base for comparison as bulls eye has very less. thanks
