XISS Rd placement is almost 100 or we should say more than 100 percent from past few years...company used to come even after the placement season (according to the HOD)
But from this year placement has become centralized which means the departments cannot call the companies in their own. So 30-35 % downfall in placement is expected.
As far as the recruiting company/agencies are concerned NTPC, unisef and corporate r the regular visitors.

The notification for admission in XISS are out & so are the forms, check the website for further details.....
Meanwhile our placement season kick-started on a high...15(might be more) of our seniors from the department of Personnel Management have been placed...The recruiters being Taj group of hotels, Kotak Mahindra, Punj Llyod, mahindra & Mahindra..... 
As u have told that in 2007 admissions were canceled this again prove the point that seats are sold ,why the company goes to that institute as it does not have any fair student selected. best thing for this sort of institute is that company should ban it they shoud ask institute on which ground they have admitted the student. i can say with 100 % surety that not even single guy is admitted on merit :banghead::banghead:

XISS court challenges JET
Challenging the jurisdiction of the court of Jharkhand Training (JET), the lawyer representing Xavier Institute for Sozial-Service (XISS) today argued that issues related to procedures for admission to educational institutions, outside their jurisdiction.
Questioning the sphere of the obligation of JET, the Institute? S lawyer, Raj Anjal that the Tribunal had the right to complaints filed by persons in connection with educational institutions, but attention to the complaints of those who are not in a relationship with businesses outside their jurisdiction.
Faced with a serious act against-the petition presented by XISS, defying the law of JET, the Tribunal complained XISS lawyer Anjal Raj, July 7 for a detailed argument on the issue before the merits of cases.
It is worth mentioning that the Court today, nor the freedom to stay the publication of the second list of candidates for admission to XISS, it still has a clean chit on the procedure for authorization by the Institute . However, the petitioner directed to file a rejoinder in the case tomorrow.
XISS director Beni Ekka, ostensibly to submit an offer in writing an excuse to be? Verchtliche writing? on JET-president was absent today in court, though.
His lawyer has made? Without condition and without restriction? written apology on its behalf in the same cons-sworn statement that the Tribunals jurisdiction.
Records of the XISS counter-statement under oath about a petition by the mother of Vivek Prabhakar, a youth centre of Dhanbad. She knocked on the door of JET after Vivek fails to admission to XISS despite Scoring-98-percentile of the All India Management aptitude test. The petition against the authorisation procedure under XISS for its management training.
The petitioner? N Ramit Satyendra today lawyer argued that the court could hear the case under the authorization because he had heard the case, if a parent had a petition against authorizing methods based on town of Loreto Covent School.
The day? S development in the courtyard, however, left parents await the publication of the second list for admission to XISS impatient. They felt that the case has been extended, there could be problems for students waiting for the second list for admission to XISS.
The outcome... Seats are sold again.

I've not find anywhere regarding average salary, highest salary..
There are many colleges in the country which admit just 20 to 30 % student on merit and rest of the seats are filled through management quota but xiss is the only college in which all the seats are sold not even a single guy is selected on meri

Some hard facts to open eyes of the XISS apirants.
1. Only 20( +-5) students got placed so far.
2. Go to .:XISS :: Placement(PGDPM):. and download the placement brochure 2010 and get in touch with the XISS guys. You will get the picture.
3. Classes run from 9 AM to 1 PM only. AFter that there is no lord to watch u.
4. Faculties are pathetic( I cudnt find any other word to describe them). Few of them cant spell Mahindra & Mahindra. One was not able to spell "Public". God forgive them all.
5.Placements: Forget about min salary offered. 30-40% are stil not placed and have very thin hopes for further palcement.
6. Forget placement. AFterall money is not the only thing..but the faculties will make sure that once u move out in the cut throat job market, u will have nothing to help u in ur struggle.
7. No case study methdology is followed. Faculties are very busy in campus politics ratehr campus palcement. Lot of plotics go on in teh campus..Hope to see new breed of Mps and MLAs if not MBAs.
I may seem a little rude and harsh..well !! I am a die hard fanatic of HR and can sacrifice finance in IIM C for HR. I had very high hopes with this inst. but after knowing the hard truths I was hit emotionally...
Do not trust me..Do not trust XISSsian..trust the facts..Go and talk to as many guys as u want from XISS and u wil get the true picture...Then u can curse me or praise me..I don't care

@buntyabcde & xdillusined....mate, do you think scoring in high 90's in XAT guarantee you a seat in XISS???Our batch has students who could have cleared the cut-off of XLRI & students with 70%ile as well.. Mind you, you will be rejected that number of times untill & unless you can't prove yourself deserving & unique in some sense(when it comes to a seat in personnel management).Are they obliged to offer you a seat,as you have scored 90%ile...I can't stop laughing at your immaturity...Grow up folks!!!
One thing i must jot down again, XISS has always been a "shy" institute.It has always maintained enough distance from publicity,marketing & proclaiming as the best.
What we the students of Personnel management at XISS have been doing since long has been now adopted/adapted by many top-notch B-schools.
About getting admission,i know how i have been in,so do i know about all my friends here in XISS-PM...I seriously don't of other disciplines...
You saying that not a single student of XISS is admitted through merit gives a reflection of your frustration & incompetency. Boss, there are people smarter than you,admit it as quickly you can, else you will be criticizing for your failure again here or somewhere else...

Min2rit. Please tell me which company had came last year for R D RURAL DEVELOPMENT.. And package given. Minimum, average, highest.. Which companies come other than local one from ranchi.. Did any bank or national ngo visited last year.. And what salary offered.. What about summer internship there of RD
