Hi confusioncloud,
1. Please refer to the prospectus of XISS for a detailed distribution of the profile of the batch. As much as i remember, we have around 10 engineers, around 35 BBA graduates and a few B Com graduates. Apart from it, there are many other as well, but don't remember exactly...
2. As i have emphasized time and again, your interview is the key for your final conversion, yes, if you have a good percentile, definitely it gives you a cushion, but please don't commit the mistake of presuming that you will be selected in spite of an extremely high XAT score.
3. Please refer to a few of the previous page of the thread buddy, you will get your answer..
ALL THE BEST!!!!
anyone coming from porbandar howrah train. M leaving 2moro on 24 feb.. Stll hav waiting... 😞
friend...dnt get irked...i also belong to ranchi....i know inch by inch of this college....and if u r saying people have taken admission in above mentioned colleges thru back door....then plz PM me any1 student`s name...i promise from nxt time i will never appear in XAT xam...
also i want 2 say tht this college has improved a lot but, it cannot be compared with top notch colleges...not atleast this season...becuz top notch colleges provide transparency in there admission process......

Dear PM Applicants,
1. Pay attention to your Appearance, not just the Physical aspect, but your Demeanour, Communication Skills & Emotional composure. Only the Calm, Cool & Placid ones emerge Victorious in here. Be totally prepared for a Stress Interview. Yes, this format IS used here. Actually, if a Stress Interview is conducted, Be Sure that the panelists find you Interesting enough. It's meant to check your Attitude, Emotional Quotient & Stability.
2. Do- Do Go through the various functions & aspects of HRM & Personnel functions in the most detailed way possible (Of course, i'm not asking you to be an expert. But, you must project yourself as a person having sufficient know-how of the field you're opting for as a prospective professional career). Start Brushing Now ..
3. Get into the Branding mode. Brand yourself as the person who's best suited for an HR Manager's role. Exhibit the Best of Yourself & Curb the Negativities. But above all, Be Honest & Diplomatic at the same time (Obviously, two of the Most important traits required for the job). Try to avoid falling in any trap while answering. Mock Interviews by an expert, friend or mentor will make it go smooth & thereby, will boost your confidence.
4. Link your academic/other aspects of your background to the PM course in such a way that the panelists are assured that your admission as a Student will be coherent to you & a value-addition to the Classroom. How to do it? Well, You Know it Best (Coz you know your background). You've Crossed Hurdles. Finish-Off with the Last One ..
5. Be Optimistic. Think Positive. Go Cool.
All The Best!
Can't Wait to Welcome You Happening Juniors!
:Here's What I was asked Last Year :
1. Tell Me about yourself.
2. You were interested in Business Administration, why didn't you pursue BBA for grad?
3. Why XISS? What do you know about Social Service? What do you think XISS is all about?
4. Why PM/HRM? Why do you want to switch to HRM? Why do you think you can become a good HR Manager?
5. What is HRM?
6. What's the condition of Indian Economy right now?
7. What's Globalization? How it's different from Liberalization?
8.
9. Why shall we take you? Will there be any positive changes after your admission? Why/Why Not?
That's It, Friends. Had a Semi-Stress Interview.
See Ya ...
:Hello Seniors
I have my RD GD/PI on 28th feb. I am reaching xiss on 28th morning. I want to know that if xiss would be providing any kind of accommodation to the call getters on interview day.

No girl, you have to arrange for your accommodation, the college does not provide any such facility

@ arianvaibh
My GD/PI was good. Panel members were very chilled out and professional. They just wanted to know that how passionate and aware you are, about RD and expect honest reply. I faced simple question like why RD, why XISS, how would you connect your professional degree with RD course.
All the best!!
