I am from Delhi, and have applied for PM cource,
Please tell me did any of your seniors or your batch mates, after 2 years of MBA, got placed in delhi or does the placement mostly happens in cities of near by area like Bokaro, Jamshedpur, etc.
what all companies from Delhi visit your college...and what is average package offered by those Delhi companies?

also throw some light on average placement scenario in terms of highest salary, average salary, and the percentage of students who got placed this in 2011.

Look friend, the joining location are all over the country, if you are talking of PM. Infact, it seldom happens the number of people placed in Jamshedpur, bokaro, etc is few.
Talking primarily of Delhi, please check previous postings of mine sincerely, you will get to know which all companies have visited. But, i can't fathom what do you mean by companies from Delhi & their package. I mean, such widespread is the business these days, that you can't confine a particular company in a particular location.

i was going through placement brochure on your college website , and got to know "organization and location" of most of the students was-- cities in near by area... this has made me ask you the question.... no offenses

i seriously want to come back to delhi after my MBA, that is why i was a little conscious about location.

As of now, i guess Taj Hotel & Punj lloyd will be giving the joining location in Delhi/Gurgaon region. Need to talk specifically on this to give you a better answer friend. It might happen that the figures in the prospectus is of all the departments..

2)I want to work for PSU After my MBA,Do PSUs come for campus at XISS?if yes please name a few.
3)We have to submit a DD of INR 53,000.In case i dont take admission HOW much money will be deducted?
4)Approx how much is the living expence at Ranchi for 2years?

1. I was told that you guys are asked to submit around 52,000 bucks as your seat confirmation amount.So, our fees will be around 52,000 multiplied by 6 trimesters, roughly.,Excluding fooding,lodging, industrial visits, tours,camps expenses.
2. Thus year IOCL,Hindustan copper limited, indian bank came.. there were a few more wch cn b counted as pseudo-PSUs as well.
3. i guess u r talking of in case you do not join, u r entitled to lose only 1000 bucks.
4.i can tell u of mine, i spend arnd 8000 bucks per month, including partying, n roaming.

Hi All,

Converted XISS PM this season, however just wanted to convey that I will not be joining the same, because amidst the plethora of options I have with me this time I chose to opt the best suitable for my career growth in future ..

The next in the waitlist START REJOICING ...

Hearty congratulations to all who have converted XISS ..

My GD/PI experience and the interaction with the panel was pretty good and would like to thank XISS for that...

All the very best to the present batch of students as well as the prospective upcoming batch of XISS..

Nope it isn't true. Rumors always find their way. BTW, why are you so desperate to give 'ANY amount of donation' to take admission?

An advice : Use the money to start a venture or invest it. If you can't, you won't be a success in the social sector either (after paying donation for admission in a mgmt. institute), Coz Social Sector is all about Entrepreneurial abilities.

The only way to get thru is having a good XAT percentile & performing well in Gd/ PI.

got my TISS Result yesterday..i have converted TISS Disaster management...and also XISS-Personel management..i have Skills to excel in HR,i knw..but TISS has a better brand name(XISS,is also xaviers after all,no offences)..can i have suggestion on which college should i go for??
i am looking for better job prospects,and better salary..

You mention that you've skills to excel in HRM. Well, why don't you follow your heart rather than ask others? Avoid complications of brand names/other such attributes (salary packages etc.) & cautiously exercise the choice. This way, you'll be able to avert 'disaster' in career planning. Take Care!
