hey i have secured 64.48 percentile overall in XAT VA-62 QA-68 DM- 52
My academics are class 10 - 69.3%, class 12 -60.2% and btech - 7.61 (CGPA) i have a intrest in XISS (PM) do i stand any chance to get a call and if i get a call and perform well in GD & PI whether i wud be selected on merit of GD & PI or academics qud come handy at that time.. rply ASAP...Thank u in advance
Hi Chirag, Your overall performance is considered and taken into account while making a final call, which include your past-academics, your performance in GD/PI, and blah blah Polish up your answers. Even when you are faking, don't forget that the person who is taking your interview has faced similar souls earlier as well. So, fake only when you confident about your skill in that respect

We can 't help the situation mate.. But, i think there are a lot of colleges wherein you have to fill the form even before the results are declared. Yes, it is other thing that you have to fill separate forms when applying through either CMAT or XAT.
What is the fee including the hostel for 2 yrs ?? Seniors ?
For boys, no hostel, sorry For girls, i will have to check what is the fee for their lodging & fooding Sorry to give you some trouble, but please go through the previous post, you will get the idea about the fee.

Hi, Look buddy, it is totally your call whether you want to apply at that percentile. You have a 50-50 kind of a score. I guess you have a 65-35 chance of getting a call.
Rural Management is the next best department after PM, in terms of placement.
P.S. This is what i remember, when i was going through the academic calender. Hope you all were aware of the dates.

while filling up the online application form, i faced the difficulty of mentioning the total marks and marks obtained per semester in btech..... but our coll/university follows a grade system where in, we are allotted "CGPA".... thus we dont know the exact marks ...... what to do in such case ???? repeated calling at xiss office didnt help as no one picked up the phone nor did anyone answer the mob..... please help asap....

Hi, Try to call during 10 am to 1 pm, your call might be attended.
In case you still could not get through, i think you will have to apply through the physical form (presuming the problem is happening in online application)

Applying for XAT 2012 at XLRI, Jamshedpur
Applying at XISS, Ranchi for admission
Candidates desirous of seeking admission at XISS, Ranchi will have to first apply online to XLRI, Jamshedpur for XAT 2012 by visiting www.xatonline.net.in and following the steps on the site. The online application procedure for XAT 2012 has started. It will end on November 30, 2011. Candidate must choose XISS, Ranchi while applying for XAT 2012 in the affiliated institute section. After applying for XAT 2012, candidate will be provided a 6 digit XAT ID, which is required for applying at XISS.
Candidate is required to apply separately at XISS, by procuring the application form from the institute or by downloading it from website of the Institute. A candidate can apply for one, two or maximum three specializations. Only one application form is required for applying to one or more specializations.
XISS Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the institute counter or at selected IMS Learning Centers in various cities by paying cash or depositing a bank draft for Rs. 1000/- (for one specialization only), Rs. 1600/- (for two specializations) and Rs. 2000/- (for three specializations maximum).
Prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the Institute website www.xiss.ac.in/admission.php. The downloaded application form duly filled in should be submitted along with a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- (for one specialization only), Rs. 1600/- (for two specializations) and Rs. 2000/- (for three specializations) drawn in favour of Xavier Institute of Social Service payable at Ranchi on any scheduled bank. The candidate should clearly write his/her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.
A candidate can apply to a maximum three specializations. If it is found that a candidate has applied for more than three specializations on two different application forms, then he/she will be barred from the admission process for all the specializations.
Application forms and prospectus are available from 1st November 2011 till 10th March 2012. Last date for submission of filled in application forms is 10th March 2012. The form must reach on or before last date. The Institute is not responsible for any postal delay or otherwise non-receipt of the form within the due date.
The cut-off qualifying XAT percentile for GD/PI will be decided by the selection committee after declaration of XAT results and on the basis of number of applications received for admissions.

Hi dude, If your GPA is in a scale of 1 to 10 then do this..6.7 becomes 67 percent. You have to take the total marks to be 1000 and then the marks attained will become 670 in this case. Its the Standard procedure for conversion in most of the institutes...I am not saying you should do it..But this is what I am going to do.:clap:

bt she ended up receiving the receipt , bt i didnt , even though we live close by , and sent it on the same day , should i chk it up with the admission dept , what shud i do ? i am confused and stressed out because of this as i was really looking forward to xiss and its admission process
