Guys , i paid and applied for 3 courses via post and not the online one ,
bt i didint get any recipet ./ what shud i do ....shud i wait for some time till i get the reciept or call and ask them at admission desk !!

So, i would find it tough to explain. on top of that, i have not seen the online form.
I would suggest you people to keep on calling in the mean time.

Also, for all your queries, please consolidate your queries in bullets & post the same again, i would again go to the lady in admissions to gather the information, tomorrow.

P.S. When inquiring with the admission desk, the lady was also perplexed

May I know the chances of getting into XISS?

well there are chances that u might get into Marketing/ Finance if u clear ur GD and PI with good marks. U have a good work exp. that should help i suppose if u have 1st class throughout

if xiss doesnt have hostel facility for men , do they provide assistance on PG or smthing or do we have to hunt for accomodation from the first day itself ?:banghead:

no assistance frm xiss people,will hav to hunt for the accommodation frm the first day itself.YES,but u can easily find accommodation over there.as there r lots of cheap room available there and there is no PG type of thing.I know all these things as i have been there for over three years for my UG(pursued frm st xavier which also shares boundaries with XISS).ATB

See your XAT score is a little low. HR being the most reputed course of XISS has a high cut off for admission generally. Although u can make it through because u have good work experience. It entirely depends upon ur GD and PI. Prepare for that

i have got 64.48 percentile in XAT and 167 score nd 7947 rank inCMAT.. what do u think out of two with which score shall i apply for XISS..and do i stand any chance in any case for PM..

Someone please reply to few of my queries(many of which are common among many aspirants of XISS)

1. I recently came to know about 1 college considering CMAT score also alongwith CAT & XAT & they are going to reduce CMAT score by some 15 points when considering final admission.Is there any such criteria with XISS too?

2. Is there going to be sectional cut-off for XAT & CMAT(Know this is repeated ques but want to confirm)

3. Which of the 2 scores should we submit because with 1 payment we can submit only 1 score
& this is also my personal question
I have 90.8 percentile in XAT & based on my rank in CMAT(2040) I guess the percentile would
be somewhere between 93-95.If anyone can suggest me which score to submit.Also my
sectional in XAT is bit bad but expecting a balanced sectional in CMAT.

(I am sorry for the looooooooooong post but any advice would be helpful.For me a lot but also for a lot many regulars on this post)

Here is your answer:
1. I am oblivion of any such criterion. Even if there is such criterion, i doubt that it will be told to you or made public.
2. NO SECTIONAL ( i believe, i have posted about it numerous times, kindly go through the previous post)
3. It is totally your decision. You will have to make payment twice to apply through XAT as well as CMAT

Truly speaking, i don't have much idea about CMAT, but your XAT score is good enough at least to help you get a call from the institute (even for HR/PM). Had i been in your shoes, i would have applied through XAT, & would have tried to convince the interviewers that blah blah blah was the reason behind my poor sectionals.

22nd ??? but in the admissions brochure it was mentioned that "The list of short-listed candidates for GD/PI will be displayed on the Institute notice board and website www.xiss.ac.in/admission.php on 15th March 2012."
