Shahnawazpuy Says22nd ??? but in the admissions brochure it was mentioned that "The list of short-listed candidates for GD/PI will be displayed on the Institute notice board and website www.xiss.ac.in/admission.php on 15th March 2012."
Yes, but the last date of accepting application form has been extended to 17th March 2012.
Hence, i wrote 22nd of march. But, its not officially declaration.
I will let you know of the GD/PI list. Don't worry.
All the best!!

I repeat, i don't have any idea about CMAT.
But, yes your profile looks good.
Work-ex might not come handy, at least here in XISS.
All the best!!
Hi, I am Subodh from Ranchi.
If you have any question regarding XISS - you can post it here.
NOTE: I am not a student or faculty of XISS and in any way my answers should not be treated as official answer.
This year XISS is through XAT only (and not through MAT)
last year cut off
XAT
55 percentile for Personal Management
45 percentile for Rural Developement, Marketing, Finnance.
mainly known for RD 9almost 100% placement) and PM (80-90% placement)
marketing and Finnance are new courses but placement is good (but not yet 100%)
it is mainly known for personnel management...what is the placement scenario for pm...though its abviously clear that for other courses it is not 100%...what about pm
Here is your answer:
1. I am oblivion of any such criterion. Even if there is such criterion, i doubt that it will be told to you or made public.
2. NO SECTIONAL ( i believe, i have posted about it numerous times, kindly go through the previous post)
3. It is totally your decision. You will have to make payment twice to apply through XAT as well as CMAT
Truly speaking, i don't have much idea about CMAT, but your XAT score is good enough at least to help you get a call from the institute (even for HR/PM). Had i been in your shoes, i would have applied through XAT, & would have tried to convince the interviewers that blah blah blah was the reason behind my poor sectionals.
I hope i have answered your queries.
All the best.

Hi all,
I must confess I have read a lot of posts here, but not all.
I find myself suited for MBA in HR and for the same I am looking at the HRM/PM program in XISS.
My details are:
10th- 93%
12th- 82%
B.Tech- 71%
XAT- 85%
WorkEx- 2 years
Hope I get a gd/pi call. What's bothering me is how to prepare for gd/pi particularly for this institute? Also, could anyone please help me in listing the top 5 or top 10 institutes for MBA in HR in India. I could gather such info for marketing anf finance, but not HR.
This is my first post here and I am looking forward to active participation. People, please help.

Thanks for the reminder... I didn't know that... And if comparison is not allowed, why does PG take out its own list of top B-schools? How is that any different from comparison?!?!
