IIIT Allahabad Scholarships

There are many scholarships provided to the students who are financially backwards and cannot afford the tuition fees at IIIT Allahabad. They can choose from the large options of scholarships available from the institution and also other sources.

Scholarship 1: Candidates belonging from the North East region whose parental income is below 4.5 lakhs per annum, can avail “Ishan Uday” Special Scholarship Scheme where they are awarded an amount of INR 60,000/- p.a.

Scholarship 2: 20 students belonging from the NITs, IIITs, IITs and other reputed government institutions, based on their merit and SOP (Statement of Purpose), are offered an internship. Only 10 interns among them will be eligible for a scholarship of 10000/- for the entire duration of the internship which generally runs for 8 weeks. 

Scholarship 3: Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities – this scholarship is awarded by the Government of India to the Minorities. Candidates can check out the details on the National Scholarship Portal.

An amount of INR 3,000/- p.a. And some maintenance allowance is awarded to the students under this scheme. They should score more than 50% marks in the previous final examination to avail this scholarship. The annual income of their parents should not exceed 2 LPA to be eligible.

Scholarship 4: Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional and Technical Courses – candidates who are taking admission to the college in technical and professional courses, through competitive examination are eligible for the scholarship, which amounts to INR 20000/- p.a. Again, to avail this scholarship, the familial income of the candidate should not be more than 2.5 lakhs per annum.

Educational loans and fellowship assistance are also provided to students wishing to continue higher education. Education loans can be availed from specific banks. The authorities can guide the candidate on the matter.
