Process of Admission to IIT Mandi

PG and PhD programme admissions at IIT Mandi are now available for 2022. Candidates are being narrowed down by the institute for the written exam and PI rounds. In the second week of May, the shortlists are anticipated to be made public. JEE Advanced and JEE Main dates have been changed for BTech admissions. The JEE Advanced exam will take place on August 28 and registration will start on August 7 or later. The new dates for JEE Main session 1 and session 2 are June 20–29 and July 21–30, respectively.

B.Tech. IIT Mandi Eligibility Requirements

• Those who wish to enrol in the B.Tech programme at IIT Mandi must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum 75 percent in the 12th grade, or 65 percent for people from restricted categories (SC, ST, and PWD).
• I should have studied physics, chemistry, math, and biology in my senior year of high school.
• Must have received a qualifying score on both the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams.

Mains/Advanced JEE

• A nationwide entrance exam called JEE Mains is required for enrollment in a variety of undergraduate programmes at IITs, NITs, and IIEST.
• The four sessions of the JEE Mains that NTA offers are February, March, April, and May.

2022 IIT Mandi MA Admission

A full-time, two-year MA in development studies programme is available at IIT Mandi. Candidates for this course come from a variety of backgrounds, including numerous fields in the humanities, social sciences, agricultural science, engineering, basic sciences, etc. The institute conducts a written exam or an interview to determine who gets admitted to the programme.

Admission for MS and PhD at IIT Mandi in 2022

In the areas of Engineering, Science, and Social Science, IIT Mandi offers admission to MS by Research and Ph.D. programmes in Regular, Part-Time, Sponsored, External, Project Staff, and Lateral Entry formats.

Ph.D. admissions are typically done in the months of July and December, but applications are accepted all year long.

Eligibility:

Full-time M.S. by Research

Engineering or technology-related bachelor’s degree OR master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university

The minimal requirement for admission is 60 percent of the available points (55 percent for SC/ST/PWD).

Ph.D:

NBHM, GATE, UGC NET, and CSIR NET. The decision about entrance will only be made by the selection committee in the case of a candidate with at least five years of work experience.

Direct Admission Requirements for PhD Program:

• those those who obtained an overall grade point average of at least 80 percent while completing their B.Tech at one of the IITs. with a minimum of two years of work experience in a reputable R&D business and a BE/B.Tech degree
• Research Scholars under the External Registration Scheme, QIP, and Institute Staff are also eligible to apply in the part-time method.
• Candidates from Himachal and J&K can also apply for admission to part-time MS and Ph.D. programmes at IIT Mandi.
• Students who have been accepted for an M.Tech. or MS degree at an accredited university or institute and have finished at least one semester of the programme will be given admission to the MS by Research Lateral Entry programme.
