Courses and Costs at IIT Mandi
33 courses are available at the UG, PG, and PhD levels at IIT Mandi. BTech, MTech, MSc, MA, MS, Integrated MTech, PGP, PG Certificate, and Integrated PhD programme are among the available courses. IIT Mandi courses require a minimum aggregate score of 60% on the qualifying test in order to be eligible. A passing score on the national-level test and participation in the counselling procedure are prerequisites for enrollment in IIT Mandi courses. Online Courses at IIT Mandi 2022
- Two online courses in AI, ML, and full stack development are offered at IIT Mandi. Postgraduate Certification in Applied AI and ML and Postgraduate Certification in Full Stack Developer are the two online courses that are available. Working individuals with 1-3 years of engineering experience may enrol in online courses at IIT Mandi. Additionally, the candidate needs to be familiar with at least one programming language. IIT Mandi’s online courses last a total of seven months. In 2020, IIT Mandi and WileyNXT worked together to teach professionals in AI and ML. Three batches of the online courses have been finished thus far. In 2022, the institute will graduate two additional batches.
- 2019 saw the inauguration of the B.Tech + M.Tech (Dual Degree programme) in Bioengineering at IIT Mandi. Similar to the standard BTech degree, entry to the 5-year programme is dependent on JEE Advanced rank. Reverse engineering, design practicums, interactive socio-technical practica, and other design and innovation-related subjects are taught in the IIT Mandi BTech + MTech in Bioengineering programme. The JEE Advanced opening rank needed for the dual degree programme is 8661. In round 6 of 2021, the ending rank for the same was 14534.
Mandi MTech IIT
Another important programme offered by the institution is IIT Mandi MTech. IIT Mandi’s MTech programme offers 10 courses with a focus. Energy Systems, Energy Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives (PED), Communications and Signal Processing (C & SP), Biotechnology, Structural Engineering, VLSI, Computer Science and Engineering, Fluid and Thermal Engineering, and Electric Transportation are the courses that are available. The MTech program’s VSLI and CSE branches are quite popular with everyone.
The majority of students at IIT Mandi choose the VLSI branch because of its industry-focused curriculum. Chip Design EDA tools like Cadence, Mentor, Graphics, Synopsis, Silvaco, and others are included in the course. All VLSI industries employ the most recent versions of these tools. The newest added specialisation at IIT Mandi began in 2021 and is called the CSE branch. Due to the fact that IIT Mandi is one of only three universities in Mandi offering MTech CSE, the programme has gained popularity among students.
