NIT Patna Campus Facilities

NIT Patna is presently functioning from a 40 acres large campus located in Ashok Rajpath. NIT Patna new campus is assigned at Sikandarpur village in Bihta, which is located around 40 km from Patna.

As soon as NIT Patna shifts to its new campus in Bihta, there’s a plan to open some management courses on the present campus at Ashok Rajpath. NIT Patna address is Ashok Rajpath, Mahendru, Patna. Bihar -800005. It was established on 27th November 2011.

 It offers all sorts of basic facilities to its students such as Central Library, Computer Center, Student Activity Center (SAC), GYM (separate for boys and girls.), College Canteens (Govt Canteen, Nescafe Canteen), TT and Badminton court with Synthetic International flooring, Squash Courts, Medical Center, Cricket and Football Ground along with stands that has accommodating capacity of over 1,000 students.

NIT Patna campus provides central computing facility for the students, research scholars and teachers of the institute, which is well equipped with modern computers and stabilized uninterrupted power supply among the other facilities.

It has seven labs for the students of all departments and one lab exclusively used by PhD scholars of the institute. This centre also offers a virtual classroom and video conferencing facility that is available between 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

It has a central library with more than 1,50,000 books and 1,100 e-journals and it opens for 10 hours a day. NIT Patna faculty members encourage students to participate in sports for the all round development of the students.

NIT Patna hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. The college holds a week-long event for the sports such as cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, carom, and discus throw in January every year. NIT Patna has a Strength Games team, which is involved in weightlifting, powerlifting and bodybuilding.

It also celebrates Parakram, the annual intramural sports festival each year which is organised by the students of the Institute. In addition to that, NIT Patna has another student-driven the cultural fest, where both Melange and NIT Patna techfest Corona are celebrated together since 2015.

NIT Patna has some student-driven clubs namely The Cultural Society named Mélange, The Common Room Society, The Outdoor Society and many others.
