Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology University (Thapar University) – Patiala Campus Facilities

The University in Patiala district of Punjab. The university campus is spread in an area of 250 acres.

Infrastructure & Facilities:

Specialized well equipped laboratories especially for business incubation in biofertilizer and biopesticide production, food processing and analysis;pilot scale lab.; temperature controlled rooms classified as growth rooms, cold room, inoculation rooms, instrumentation room.

Biocomposting and vermicompost unit, commercial production of mushrooms, biogas plant and polyhouse for mass production of the blue green algal biofertilizer. Well equipped office with personal computers, printers, fax machine, scanner, DLP projector, digital camera, reprography, networking and library and seminar hall equipped with audio-visual systems.

Hostel:

University provides hostel facilities for students, currently university has 6 boys hostels with state-of-the-art facilities. The hostel is equipped with all the basic amenities like Gym, Reading Room, and Common Room. There is a Cooperative mess system in each hostel.

Classroom:

Class rooms are properly furnished with state-of-the art equipments which are well equipped with educational audio-visual systems, LCD projectors & Network connection for providing a conducive atmosphere for learning. The classrooms are also spacious, well lighted & well ventilated.

Library:

The college has a well equipped and well stocked library. The college has Library cum reading room, well equipped with periodicals, text books, study material, major dailies and popular magazines for both students and faculty.

Extra – Curricular:

The prime importance of Thapar University is the all round development of the students & to create a platform for students to de stress after their rigorous classroom sessions. The indoor sports facility is available after college hour. To further imbue them with hues of creativity and leadership, there are cultural events, indoor-outdoor sports, and countless fun games.
