1) BIM is jus 45 mins drive from both Trichy and Thanjavur.. I have a lot of commitments in Trichy & my parents R at Thanjavur.. So it helps.. It definitely helps.
2) My friend has converted the BIM call.. So I'd be having a great time with her at BIM.
3) I'm a food connoisseur, esp of south Indian food.. So I'm not gonna hav to eat Chappathi, Sabji, Rajma and stuffs of these sort at BIM..:cheers:
4) I can go out and feast at KANNAPA's, PANDIAN, THAI, MERIDIAN, FLAMES n MANGUDIYAAR's whenever I find time.. :cheers::cheers:.
5) I believe that South Indian Girls are better vis a vis their north indian counterparts:o (No Groans.. pls.. Puys. This is my personal opinion). At least this comparison is not disallowed in PG. Considering that my aim is to start a coaching institute in TRICHY in 4 yrs from now, the idea of studying at BIM is not bad at all.

OC waiting list moved up to 56 last year. Hope for the best.

Thats a wrong notion my frend. I was a fresher last year I got 92 % last year in CAT and was not able to convert the call. This time with one year experience and 94 % in CAT i was able to convert the call. On sufficient introspection abt my own performance in last year and this year GD/PI (I ve posted both of them in pagalguy), I came to realize the fact that the panel looks for guys truly interested in mgmt education and who show some promise. All those who have been selected or waitlisted have truly proved their potential beyond prcentile figures because GD/Pi carries heavy weightage in BIM. So everyone who hv been considered for admission in BIM, brace urself to enter one of the finest mgmt education institutes

However he wont be joining...a movement of one is guaranteed... :)You could make a note of it in your sheet that you maintain)..

I guess he meantfor bc..... He was waitlisted in the 50's and he converted(two years back)

And this is regarding BC. most of the guys in BC will be in OBC i believe. so there are chances of them converting other calls since many insti s are seein acads(assuming these guys have good acads). coz in my interview i spoke with some 4 guys who got NC-OBC status only this year. they felt even if they convert, they ll try next year.
And regarding freshers tryin next year, unless the guy s very confident of gettin thru cat(a fantasy) next year, its not good to wait. coz next year, if i get into a college at the same level as BIM, ll regret my decision of havin wasted an yr. and regarding the percentiles , i heard the average percentile at bim is around early 90 s.(think i saw it in one of the threads) which is quite good considerin the quota. its worth joinin BIM this yr itself.....

hey that 90% + was last year trend... did u check this year's? ranchi n rohtak are in 80 % ... if iims can come down to that much,what would happen when some more iims are opened..... what ll happen to other college,though these iims are new....... lot of chances in the coming years
