you should wait till 20th may and then call admission office to know ur new waiting list no.
hey puys, it may sound silly and may attract groans too,.,.,.,.but are there a few more north indians like me ,.,,.who are planning to join bim trichy,.,.,.i mean there are just 38 os seats there ,.,.,.and we will be a part of miniscule minority. But then i blieve that i am an indian first, a north indian later , and the kind of exposure that bim may provide me would be better than any north indian b-school. Seniors your help regarding this query would be graetly appreciated.I have just a few of them.
1> what about the mess food , is there anything north indian there?( i can accomodate though, as i have been in boarding for a very long time)
2>i know that it may sound harsh ,.,but i saw a few anti-northy comment( like north indian girl being inferior to south ) here. So are there some occurence of anti-north inian spat there?
3> i am a fresher so is it possible that my pay package would be comparatively lower then work ex guys?

i would like to comment for your 2nd point..
it was me and another fellow who were discussing about south indian girls.. we both who discussed such issue r from TN and we like that flavour.. we didnt derogate any NORTH indian girl.. it was just our opinion..if it has hurted any of the north INDIAN PUYS feelings' i m extremely sorry for that..

v have many north indians on campus and they dont realy complain abt mess food...but bharath is right...the taste may not b authentic...but then its not bad 😃 v get paneer items, malai kofta, parathas and the like 😉 mess food is quite good quality-wise so u have nthng 2 worry about

1) Dude, I'm the one who made a personal comment that South Indian Girls are better than the North Indian girls. I'm fiercely patriotic and I'm quite proud at that. Hundreds of students who are associated with me know that fact. I clearly DO NOT HOLD ANY GRUDGE AGAINST MY FELLOW COUNTRYMEN FROM NORTH.. All Puys who read that post would clearly have understood that I made that comment in a light vein. It was an absolutely jocular comment not meant to offend anyone. If it indeed offended U, I tender my unequivocal apologies..

This is regarding the procedures to be followed after receiving the Admission/Wait list letter. My W/L No 20 (OC Category) and I have not received the Wait List Letter from BIM yet hence wanted to confirm few things that i need to follow:
Step 1. Send an confirmation mail to [email protected] to confirm willingness to join the course.
Step 2. Send DD of Rs 5000 to "Bharathidasan Institute Of Management" payable at "Tiruchirappalli".
Step 3. Send a conduct letter signed from parents.(I am not sure if it is required for Wait Listed candidates)
Waitlisted candidates who have got the letter please confirm the details including the last dates.

About Education Loan..
Guys,
For those who have plan to avail education loan, I suggest you to avail loan from United Bank of India.
They have something called "Excel Education Loan" scheme under which they offer education loans for those joining premier institutions at discounted rate. BIM is listed as one of the premier institutions in their list.
Last year after doing some initial research on where to avail loan, I zeroed in on United Bank of India bcos of that scheme. Last year I got it at 8.5% interest. I believe that was the lowest in the market as per last year trend. I dont think any adjustments made in education loan interest after that. So you guys shud also be availing at same rate only.

Just curious abt the fact that - do u people watch hindi movies there......!!! I thot only illiterate south people dont know hindi... surprised to see that even higher educated people like u are very poor in hindi......
I had the toughest time in my life in chennai while I ws there for BIM interview.....I had gone alone.... so was punished a lot.... some normal people neither undrstand hindi nor English...I was acting like a dumb.... Bt was a lovely experienced...oftn I enjoyed my helplessness there...

i am extremely sorry for the silly remark i made. There is one thing for which i am assured by now, days in bim are going to be real fun.I realise now that the north indian and south indian girl comment was made in a very light vein .I personally like a lot many south indian actress.,,.,.,.,chill yar ,.,..,galti ho gayi.,.,,.i mean i am sorry .

Try to avoid these kind of crappy general statements..ITS just a language dude and it takes hardly 1 month to get comfortable... its quite normal in a country like INDIA where south indian people face tough time in north India and vice versa.. i would suggest u to discuss something very useful in this thread.. after all u or me will not take presentation in our regional language, once we land on a managerial job..
An humble request, please do not try to digress from the topic ...If u r interested abt people watching hindi movies, u could have just asked it without making any general statements..And to answer ur question.. YES people here some times watch Hindi movies(which are gud enuf to reach south indian theatres )

Yes, you are right. The steps are the one's to be undertaken. But remember we should also send a hand written letter (Acceptance letter) so as to reach them on or before 21st May. Yes, waitlisted people are also supposed to send duely signed in "code of conduct - This you wil be receiving along with the offer letter". First mail them. You can wait for another two days and then send the (DD + code of conduct + Acceptance letter) put together.
