[2010-12]BIM Trichy Shortlist Out

This is regarding the procedures to be followed after receiving the Admission/Wait list letter. My W/L No 20 (OC Category) and I have not received the Wait List Letter from BIM yet hence wanted to confirm few things that i need to follow:

Step 1. Send an confirmation mail to [email protected] to confirm willingness to join the course.
Step 2. Send DD of Rs 5000 to "Bharathidasan Institute Of Management" payable at "Tiruchirappalli".
Step 3. Send a conduct letter signed from parents.(I am not sure if it is required for Wait Listed candidates)

Waitlisted candidates who have got the letter please confirm the details including the last dates.

Thanks in advance

Step 3 isnt required for waitlisted candidates.
The important dates are:
May 19th- Deadline for the willingness email to reach BIM.
May 21st- Deadline for the DD and a printed letter covering details like Application Number, CAT ID etc to reach BIM.

Hope it helped!
Thanks!
Athul

it was just a query that will he 15th june waitlist declaration will be the final declaration or will it be just the starting of the waitlist clearance.I meant to say this because i have already submitted more than 1 lakh rupes in some other institute , and the last date to take back the money is somewere around 2 july.

Completely agree with u Punitha.....
@partha
number of english speaking people in chennai would outnumber those in north by huge margin dude... guess u continued with ur fault finding mission about south indians in chennai as well...

anyways just mentioned this for fun dude.... :p:p

well i woud not like to be oppurtunist and take south indian side now( even after being a northy ) but , yar if politicians like lalu yadav, mayawati, mulayam singh might had been there , the condition would have been the same at that place. We are below par , not because we choosed the wrong way, it's just because , we choosed the wrong people.

Ya gud point.... guess its upto people like us to go and change the scenario for future.

I was not trying to point out but having been to many cities in north I was just trying to answer Partha s doubt with pure stats.

Thanks a lot for the info, also i got the letter today.

@ All the people who are firing me in this thread....

I m neither a north Indian nor a south I m r8 from the middle, rather east Indian...... from Bhubaneswar,.. Kabhi Odisha aaiye... I warrant u, u will feel neither north nor south assenc here... We are Indians.... But we have studied in our text that Hindi's our national language(I m sure)... I speak Odia , Hindi, English, Bengali, Sanskrit, If I join BIM, then I will add Tamil to it... Thing's that we are quite familiar vth Hindi..

anyway we people here watch both Hindi & south(mostly telugu vth English subtitles) along vth Oriya & a lot of English movies....
Interestingly our culture ,tradition, food, festivals are certainly combination of North & South, This's called ODIA culture....I can say we link them both in unison.. So we are perhaps the most adaptable & least violent in all over India ,vthout any doubt..

Regarding those who advice me to Grow up I wd say--- probably I wl the youngest in this thread,,""Aare yaar.. bade hone keliye time to lagta hai, ye thodi hi mere haath me hai.....(joking)

Finally I apologize if I hav spoiled the thread anyway as one of the seniors commented....
So I expect no further controversies on this topic...bt compliments are welcome...

IIM SHILLONG, Waitlist 28....

seniors , my waitlist will clear only on 25 th may. But am sending the DD now. Will 49,000 be refunded? (just assuming the best case)

Friend,u hav not read your text properly then..Atleast before reverting back, u cud hv made a google search...HINDI is just an official language, not our national language.

1 qtn..Do you watch oriyya movies? coz i do hav lots of east indian friends here, who mostly prefer HINDI over that.
Anyways, my point was HINDI is just a language like every other one. So please dont treat ppl who dont know hindi as illiterates(since u mentioned that u thot oly illiterate ppl dunno hindi).

FYI, we are not reluctant to learn hindi. We do go for extra classes and learn HINDI, but jus end up wit your so called poor hindi, because we dont hav anyone to speak with.

guys,

please stop this discussion abt hindi/non hindi/north/south divide...it really serves no purpose othr than digressing from other important issues

Thanks 😃

i am waitlisted in BC category.
My waitlist number is 45

can anyone of the seniors or anyother puys tell me is there any chance for me...

I am not going to worry about the final result ... so please let me know as it is...

thanks
Thiyagu

Can anyone reply to this post. I am waiting for a reply.....:lookround:

Oook..Fine ... u r correct.. A lot of things we read in the school are debatable, perhaps it has been misinterpreted.... But one thing I want to clear that - I never said those who dont know Hindi are illiterate... I was trying to say ,as illiterate people dont hav that much exposer so they mayn't understand hindi.... CAT keliye reasoning problm to solve kiye hoge na,, bas thoda yaad karlo...

And in a diversified country like India how will two normal people (who dont know English) will communicate..??Bcoz both in south & north & other parts of our country there are people who dont know English.. So there mst be some common medium to communicate... Dont u think it's necessary,..? So if Hindi 's the first official language so why not HINDI....? What do u people think the solution to this problem...? In a country we shd always feel united nt devided in the form of language & other things... We must have something common for all of us...
Even Hindi is not a native language for us in ODISHA ,but here everyone understand that , how do u think we will communicate when we travel other states or the vice cersa happens...? Shd we learn all the languages we are travelling to, so a common one's required.... Therefore it's very much logical that we mst treat our first official language Hindi as a common platform to jst communicate vth each other as it's known to most people in India..... Shdnt we....?

Hi guys...

Yes, You have a chance as u r in the W/L... but it's feeble, Bcos BC category's only for Tamilnadu students & less in no... So I dont thing many TN students are going to leave BIM as an option...
Seniors can correct me if I am wrong...

hey..i am in general category..not TN...what is the chance based on that..???

Mate.. Please stop this altercation over languages.. I can give U enough details from the annals of our country's tryst with Languages. I have taken a lot of effort to learn about our country's post-independence history(Courtesy-Ramachandra Guha). I did take offense of a couple of points discussed by U in this post. But I do not want to drag this discussion any further. We will stop it here for good.

@ proteus

yes... ofcors... we can discuss it on G-talk... my email id- [email protected]....
It's very important for me know the actual facts before I take ne dicision regarding BIM.
Plz... I wl appreciate if u share som of ur knowledge vth me.......
