I was wondering what makes TISS' HRM&LR; so special but could come out with nothing substantial.
I would be very thankful if anyone of you can tell me what makes TISS so popular among MBA aspirants and What makes it different from other institutes ??

Someone has posted a link to a Biographical sketch in the previous pages.
It can be written in the first/ third person format, according to your wish. Ideally, a Bio sketch includes your education, your work ex, your strengths, your weaknesses, etc. This is another way of asking tell me something about yourself.
The profile should be a short write up on WHAT you do currently. i could perhaps include your graduation degree and your job profile. Thats all.

And by the way, self help is the best help. Googling out a couple of facts and figures never hurt anyone.
Please remember that the seniors have many responsibilities of their own, and it never was mandatory fo them to help us in the first place.
Let us resolve to bother them if and only if we cant find the solution ousselvs.

There's no link as such! You just have to fill in the date and send the DAF. If you have a problem then you should call them up or mail them!

As i have been attending certain sessions, and today a faculty from Tiss Prof. Anusha addressed us.
She explained to us the same thing in detail...
Im not taking any chances, and sending both the Biographical sketch and the Profile.

There has to be something special within you that justifies your candidature... among the ones called, TISS would only take in people who are sensitive to their environment, and the socio-cultural factors that impact it.
Please note that TISS has had psychologists sit on the interview panel to gauge our personalities. Lies might be exposed, and wont lead to very good impressions.
So just be true to yourself and the institute, and display what unique factor you can bring to the Table if TISS inducts you.

I have a query. I read somewhere that if you have applied for more than 1 course in TISS, the PI panel grills you badly on this and they ask you the reasons behind applying for 2 different courses. Some also said that this shows that the candidate is not clear about what he wants and puts a negative impact on the panel.
I have applied for HRM and Globalization and labor. Though my first love is HR, after reading the prospectus, I was pretty impressed by the curriculum and the fact that it(Glob. & Lab) is affiliated by ILO, and I decided to take it as the second option. Everybody tries to have a plan B. so whats wrong in applying for 2 different courses? How do i justify my decision?
Looking for some quick replies as I have to send the DAF in day or 2.

dude.. i agree with akshay here..
bio sketch is basically tell me about urself + strength and hobbies +misc stuff...
profile (the meaning of the term) refers to what you DO basically!!
i e if you are a marine engg.. what are your roles and responsibilities...
about the comment of the tiss admin, it doesnt need a rocket scientist to fig out that for a fresher a profile wont exist!!
in that case his profile wud be a subset of his bio sketch (mainly say if he has done mech engg.. tat wud enter in profile as well)
just using a bit of common sense here
