Hey Puys,
I have heard that apart from XAT ,there is an ESSAY which needs to be written in 20 minutes after the main two-hour paper. Is it true?
If yes, then how to prepare for it?(Just hearing the word ESSAY makes me nervous)

dont worry dude...relax.though i haven't taken xat before and will take it for the first time this time but i have heard that the essay asked are either abstract based topics like "there is no right way of doing a wrong thing"or knowledge based topics like "india has one of the largest pools of talented manpower in the world but few innovations and patented products".
the best way to prepare is going through the editorial section of a good newspaper like Economic Times,or Hindu.
few past essays of XAT are
2005-more than 1 billion indians,a gigantic problem or sea of opportunities
2006-india has one of the largest pools of talented manpower in the world but few innovations and patented products".
2007-economic growth without environmental damage...a mirage or reality
2008-gender imbalance will lead to third world war
2000- ships in harbour are safe, but that is not what they are built for
2002-indian economy post wto era
2001-economic growth without distributive justice will lead to violence
2004
