Hi All,
I just made the 1st installment payment.
For the benefit of all, I am writing down the procedure for the RTGS payment.
Documents to be carried :
1) 1 Cheque leaf.
2) Details of the beneficiary (as mentioned in the enclosure.)
3) Call letter from SIBM (not mandatory but you should carry it)
The bank will provide you a form to request for the RTGS payment.
Fill the form mentioning your name, account details and the beneficiary's account details. Cross check the beneficiary details-especially the beneficiary name, account number and the IFSC code.
Make sure that you tell the teller to enter your name and snap ID in the message/remarks column while making the transaction.
Give a cheque to the teller with the following details 'Pay : Yourself to RTGS, Amount : 3,75,000/-'
Get to know the RTGS/Transaction Reference No from the teller. (I did not receive any receipt for the payment made. You can ask for the same if your bank issues it.)
Transaction fees charged by the bank : 25 INR
Hope it helps my fellow batchmates. 😃
Dexterous09 Saysi can assure you of a convert but it will take time...till april-may...so till then u can concentrate on other calls u hav...as ths wil convert nyhw acc to research i hv done..
April-mayyyyyyyyy 😲

Stil.. thanks for the info!! 😃
The number is not 80-85.
I read the entire last to last year thread and the person who was at wl 94(he inquired about his position) converted the call. After him around 10-15 more converted(rough estimate).
Therefore, I can say that last 2 last yr, it was at least 100. Same should have been the case last yr but there is no mention about wl no in the last yrs thread.
My estimate is that waitlist this yr can go to 110-115. But, this is my estimate and it can be wrong as well.
But, there is definitely hope for waitlisted guys. People in the rejected list can hope as well but their chances are negligible.
PS- my wl no- 102(Hoping for a convert).
PPS- Leaving this thread till May 15 as I am sure I will be depressed looking at waitlist movement. Unsubscribe!!
Its posts like these that keep poor ppl like me goin

can u post the link to the thread and specifically the post??
@Everyone can someone pls share details as to when results for other clg where they have appeared/ will appear are comin out??
Hello Seniors
Is the online pre-MBA material (Rs. 30K) compulsory? Do I have a choice not to subscribe to it?
I am asking this as Rs. 30K is a big amount for me to forgo in case I withdraw my admission to SIBM.

I am asking this as Rs. 30K is a big amount for me to forgo in case I withdraw my admission to SIBM.
Its compulsary mate and I could come up with two reasons for this
1. The 30000 has been kept to disuade people who are almost certain of withdrawing at a later stage , so that the waitlist movement is more brisk. Else had it been only 1000, invariably everyone would have ended up blocking the seats till almost mid april ( that's the time most of the other colleges come out with the results)
2. These guys are good at management

Now reason inme se koi ho ya kuch aur bhi ho, baat saaf hai, if you want to play safe you will have to part with 30000

It's compulsory and included in the first installment fees of 3.75 lakhs.

To do this I would suggest you to make one Google shared doc where everyone can upload his details. It will be a more organised approach rather than cluttering across the thread. With a shared doc we all will have a ready reference repository with us. We can update the same as and when the wait list moves.
For starters, the poll started in the thread would also give you a fair idea about the tentative movement of the wait lists in the coming months.

Hi All,
I just made the 1st installment payment.
For the benefit of all, I am writing down the procedure for the RTGS payment.
Hello batch-mate :D
I have a doubt, I'm not sure if you have the answer, but still asking.
RTGS payments are made between different banks.
But I have Bank of India account, and so does SIBM Pune.
So I can't make a RTGS transaction.
So how do I fill in details like SNAP ID, etc?
I've been calling Admissions Office but none have picked the calls.

2. These guys are good at managementThey have devised a way to make money off even those candidates who will not be joining eventually. Otherwise UGC norm stipulates colleges from charging beyond 1000 bucks incase of a withdrawal.
Now reason inme se koi ho ya kuch aur bhi ho, baat saaf hai, if you want to play safe you will have to part with 30000
Well there are two ways any situation can be looked at. I do agree to a certain extent to your proposition. However, the college's perspective has already been put forth by the SIBM-P seniors in the earlier posts. And, in all fairness, we should look at both sides of the coin before drawing a conclusion.

Hi Venkat,
AFAIK, the RTGS facility is not limited to inter bank transactions only. It is very much applicable to the intra-bank transactions as well. Did you contact your bank and got the response that RTGS payment can't be made?
Visit your bank and am sure you will be able to do the transaction without any hassles. 😃
hey man i am in the same boat as you are. it seems we have to send a copy of the letter that we will write to our HR for getting the NOC. The final NOC letter from HR is to be produced at the time of joining i.e. 5th june.
But i have no clue as to what address or email do we have to send the copy of the letter to. I have mailed ART regarding the same and awaiting their reply.
PS: Are u planning to resign or taking an educational leave?
In my organization, there is no study leave before 5 years of service...so will resign.
But regarding this NOC issue, even aspirant relations team seems to be clueless

Some gyan for the fin-enthusiasts : :)
The fundamental difference between RTGS and NEFT, is that while RTGS is based on gross settlement, NEFT is based on net-settlement. Gross settlement is where a transaction is completed on a one-to-one basis without bunching with other transactions. As for a Deferred Net Basis (DNS), or net-settlement, this is where transactions are completed in batches at specific times. Here, all transfers will be held up until a specific time. RTGS transactions are processed throughout the working hours of the system.
RTGS transactions involve large amounts of cash, basically only funds above Rs 100,000 may be transferred using this system. For NEFT, any amount below Rs 100,000 may be transferred, and this system is generally for smaller value transactions involving smaller amounts of money.
RTGS processes in real-time (push transfer), while NEFT processes in cycles during the given working day. This causes a NEFT transaction that is initiated later than the last cycle to be completed the next day.
I know its a stupid question and probably u guys are not sure about the answer. But still am asking it?
There is no mention about the batch profile on ur website.
I mean to ask how many freshers, experienced people etc. are there %age wise.
Also, what is the sex ratio of the clg.
And what kind of background diversity is thr in terms of no. of engineers, commerce, arts grads, doctors etc.
What is the avg. workex etc.
All other clgs reveal these kinds of facts but SIBM hasn't revealed anything or at least I was not able to find it

Hi Ajit,
For starters, some of the info you are looking for was mentioned in the Silhouettes and Sizzlers pdfs sent by the buddy. And yes certain other info even I could not find, for instance-the profiles offered specializations wise, and the placement statistics specialization wise.
I am sure the seniors would be able to help us on that provided that information is available with them.

You didn't get me, I am not looking for placement statistics. I am looking for general stats like %age of population of freshers, % engineers etc. etc.
I hope you do get my point now. As far as Silhouettes and Sizzlers is concerned, it has no such info
karmayodha SaysNeed to get in touch with any senior who has availed the SBI Scholar loan. Seniors on this forum, can you please direct me towards any one, even a link to their fb page will do. Thanks.
Please go through the earlier pages of this thread. You'll find the answer to your query. SBI scholar loan is just one of the many options available. You may also reach out to other banks and zero-in on the bank that offers you the best interest rate and the loan maturity.

Yes you are right. This information is not present in the Sizzlers and Silhouettes but some of the information is present in 'SIBM_Pune_E-Brochure_2012.pdf'.
Quoting now from the said pdf :
Ratio of work experience students to freshers at SIBM Pune is 60:40.
You may refer the same for more insights. For any further information you may want to contact the seniors as only they may be privy to that information.

The reason I mentioned about the detailed placements statistics is because I was searching for the same and could not find it. I do understand that you were not looking for the same. :)
