I have been waitlisted at 18 under SC Category, can anyone provide me with the data as to how many waitlisted candidates under SC Category were given calls in previous years and should I be optimistic or start looking at other options since I have very few options and SIBM is the only good college that I've managed to get a call from. Rest are decent b-schools but not in top 20.
Plus, Since I inevitably have to take a loan for the entire course fees and other charges, I would like to get an estimate of total expenditure that I should be readily prepared for, the fee structure mentioned in the letter is only for 1st year, what would be the charge for 2nd year ? Would it be the same or would it increase ? Besides the fees aspect, I need to know the lumpsum amount in living expenditure for other things taking into account cost of living in Pune, and a simple lifestyle, no over-indulgence. Like how much monthly expenditure is incurred by seniors ? I will have to arrange the money beforehand, so that's why i need to know.
Plus, for Finance Profile, as a Fresher with BBA-84.8%,10th-84.6%,12th-78.6%, What kind of avg pay package can i expect in Banking and Investment fields considering that I do ok in my Acads and Interviews and not very exceptional.
And one more thing, can someone elaborate about campus life, like at what does the day's schedule resume and what all normally happens through the day and till when does the final day's task end ? About Profs at college, about medium of entertainment, city life, study schedule, enjoyment during off-days, fitness and workout at gym, food(whether home cooked type food or the type that you would call only for survival food) hostel life, indoor and outdoor gaming places, In short, everything that one would find interesting and is needed to be known before coming to SIBM.

But just try to look at it from neutral perspective.....(if it is possible...although it is very difficult)
First time i called I told my SNAP ID and the person asked me if I was so person....I said yes then he told me i was no 94......I clarified whether I was 94 after WL movement of 50...he said no I was WL 94 in original list....
Second time I call after a few days again same question.....
Dis time the guy is almost shouting and getting all pissed of when i ask him abt second wl and stufff......(who is he to shout I have all right to ask....btw I had not shared this earlier as I didnt want to malign anyone unnecessarily..)
when i again asked him to check my status and gave him my SNAP ID he just barked out 201....w/o a second thought...hence it is not believable to me.......
Well I have learnt my lesson......no more calling SIBM admissions office......just check my mail regularly and wait if someone calls me....and if dat happens....den take some time and decide where to park myself for d next 2 years.....

He converted the call in the end. And another guy (itzraj681) with GDPI score lower than him also converted the call afterwards, so I am guessing that waitlist went into late 100s. Probably the reason why they doubled the number of waitlisted students from last year (54 last year).

Wait for at least 2 days after sending the transaction details mail to [email protected] for their response after which you may want to contact the admissions/admin team.

am sorry but that wont be possible...
if you do not submit the 1st installment by 7th march then you forfeit your seat and someone else on the waitlist will be awarded the same...

I am not a senior but i am quite confident of this. if you do not pay the amount by 7th of march, you will not be eligible for further rounds. Your admission will be cancelled

Such data is very hard to gather as we hardly ask ppl as to where they did their graduation from because it really doesn't matter once you come to a b-school..

Yeah buddy I am aware of that thread and gone through it as well. 😃 I am looking for some latest information from the campus. SIBM-P is a very vibrant campus and things do change at a fast pace over the years. I have came to know that seniors(1st years) are busy these days and will come back in few days time with full throttle.
