I received a mail today that there will be no hostel accomodation. Was that mail for all the students? How are the hostels allotted? Hostel is an integral part of the entire curriculum and can be demotivating if one does not find a place. Seniors, please throw some light on this matter for making our decisions easier to take.

I didn't get any such mail...was this sent after the 1st mail? Where do they expect us to stay then? Have a camp trip for the entire 2 years on lavale hills?

I have converted SIBM(after getting a reject initially). I have already converted NMIMS, but I am leaning towards SIBM. I just needed a few doubts cleared before making a final decision:
1. How important is the pre-induction module? Will it put those who haven't gone through it at a disadvantage?
2.I'm hearing some murmurs of hostel facility not being provided to the latest converts. I believe these are just rumours but it'll be good if some senior came out to quash them.
3.I'm gonna be missing my first week, because I'm working and have already confirmed my resignation date. Hope the first week is just orientation and no course work.

I will reply partially to your second query and hope it helps you get to the bottom of things:
1.These are not murmurs, these are doubts owing to an e-mail sent by the director to some/all of the candidates.
2. I got my selection letter around 3rd May, so if that is late enough everyone following is sure to get the mail (On acceptance that is)
3.Rumors and quashing? You are no longer in the same page as we are.
PS : Sorry for the crude reply but these petty little things add up to a lot in the end. People don't post here just because they are bored. ATB.
hi i received a call yesterday from educomp mumbai saying we help students get into sibm pune and other colleges they told my score and
snap id to confirm their genuinity they said i have to pay 6.5 lacs upfront in cash if i want the official letter from sibm p saying congrats on getting selected
he said that i wd nt be a management quota student and fees wd be same 10 lacs something like other students
and the 6.5 lacs are needed to be paid aftr i get the call letter from sibm p and aftrr i pay the fees
he said that i wd have to put my original docs wd him as a security
im worried whether not entertaining his offer might stop me from getting a mail from sibm
he said that it is a normal practice in sibm nd many students have been adnitted through
this route seniors please help

Until any fact is substantiated, its a rumour. I choose to believe information from official sources rather than the word of a faceless poster.
If you really are more than a troll, pls forward the mail you received from the director to [email protected]. I am visiting the Lavale campus tomorrow and will take it up with the authorities.

Shourya bhai, i got a mail from the director stating that I would have to arrange an off campus room,
I have refused to accept the proposal and explained my reasons for doing so since it would lead to a lot of wastage of my time, energy and money and would badly affect and hamper my studies, what will happen now.
I cannot afford to stay outside, money is a constraint but also I would be deprived of the basic facilities that other hostelers are getting, this is grossly unfair and discriminatory in nature.

bt just like u i'm a rejected candidate with no hope of getting a convert call........but still i visit this thread regularly........nd by the look of the last few posts it seems that you guys are in serious trouble.....i have a suggestion....if u lyk it say thanks nd if u don't just say it i won't mind........what i think is through this thread make cntct with all those who are in the same situation........and just see what shourya bhaiya have to say......nd as one guy has already said that he is gonna vist the campus and if somebody forwards him the concerned mail then he can talk to the authorities......i think this is good for a starter.......after this acc to me all you guys mst go to lavale TOGETHER and raise this issue to the clg authorities.......coz one thing is for sure......if the clg would hv been inside the city then there wd hv been no probs...but its not nd it approx a 45 min journey from bapat rd to lavale.........
nyways......lets jst hope that the clg authorities will look into this matter seriously and will arrange something for u ........ but in the meantime i think its a good time to come up with some pretty good ideas here and make the most use of this site. ATB

Hi..I too had recieved dis call..wen i had nt converted..However nw i have converted ..and converted all d colleges by my hard work and by the grace of god..Just dont pay heed to such calls..and wait fr ur time to come..Dont trust these guys//U may land urself in trouble...I did not respond to their call..
