@vviijj123 Its completely up to you. Business formals are preferred. If you are comfortable with a tie, or even a blazer, why not? 😃 It isn't "required" as such. Totally depends upon what you can carry off. 😃
@srikanthm1987 i don't understand y at this stage you want attested copy , i thing self attested and original verification should be enuf. you should keep that part at the time of admission, if every college starting asking like that , everybody is going green , i guess you should try to emulate that in your admission process, i hope you can give this little piece of advice to your Institute policy(Trouble) makers.

Hi,
These are university norms.I understand that you have to go through trouble to get the documents attested but there's nothing we can do about it.The rules laid down by the university has to be followed.

and one more thing.. i am an Btech grad in Elec and Comm so i will have to prepare my core subjects too for the technical interview.. right??
Hi,
Its not expected that questions would be asked on coding as this an MBA course. In case you have done some great project you might explain the algorithm in the interview if asked.Personally i dont think coding would be asked. But in case you are interested in coding you can go through some basics.
With regard to your query on core subjects in elec and comm...Its better to prepare some of the core subjects in which you are interested in.This will help you in case they ask you questions like which subjects you liked in elec n comm and you will be well equipped to answer it.
Its not a technical interview as such...its more of a subjective interview to test your overall background and knowledge.I hope this answers your query.

Hey i have been called for GdPI process at SCIT. I have selected 10th Feb as the day.But i dont have me original degree with me as i was unable to attend the convocation.Rest all documents i have original . What do i do?? I do have the provisionl degree and all marksheets of all 8 semesters.
Hi,
You can explain your condition to the authorities. Please write a mail to [email protected] stating this problem.
Personally i dont think this will be a problem for GE-PI...Though you would have to produce the original degree certificate at the time of admission.

It would all depend on the panel who would be take your interview. As this is not an interview for Software Programmar , they would not expect you to be best at coding , so just the basic concept should be enough. They would expect a more techno managerial attitude in a candidate and not just a technical one.

If you are fresher than most likely questions would be asked from your specialization or field of interest. So you will have to prepare well for this subjects.

1. What are my chances for the call conversion...?
2. What kind of questions can i expect in PI as my domain is out of the Economics and banking domain..?
3. Need guidelines for GD/PI process.

Thanks,

There's a part of the admissions process known as document verification. This is as important as your GE or your interviews. Your admission / selection is subject to being void if you do not have the appropriate documents.

The screening at this stage prevents confusion later when after you get selected and you may not, for any reason whatsoever, have the necessary documents. That situation would create unnecessary chaos. Hence the process and hence the policy(Trouble) 😃

Your provisional degree and marksheets of all semesters would do for now (Plus attested copies of the same). However, on the event of selection, please make sure you have your original degree certificate.

Hi Abhinav,
1. Except your 12th percentage your acads looks good. Also you have a decent work experience. So overall a good profile .You need to perform well in GE/PI to offset your 12th standard percentage just to be on the comfortable side and secure a seat in atleast first or the second merit list.
2. Im not sure to what extend or which type of domain questions can be asked as it would depend on the panel taking your interview but be prepared with questions on what you have worked on. Be thorough with your understanding of the domain and that should be enough.
3. Some of the guidlines you should definitely follow for the GE/PI process:
a. Please be on time for the process.(atleat 15-20 mins before the process starts)
b. Please bring all your documents as mentioned in the GE/PI slot mail.
c. Please attest the required documents.
d. Please follow the instructions very carefully during the GE/PI process.
e. Please wear formals.
Follow atleast these guidelines and im sure your process will go very smoothly.

Hi Manoj,As this is the first year of inception of the PGDITBM course, we do not have any placement statistics for this course. But for a reference you can check the MBA ITBM placement stats and info, as PGDITBM placements though to be conducted separately will be on similar lines. Also that there would be only experienced students in the PGDITBM course, so we are expecting good profiles to be offered.Hi Prakash,The Placements for PGDITBM would not be conducted with MBA-ITBM course. We are expecting PGDITBM course's placement season at a later stage.....................................Bhavin BhattSymbiosis Centre for Information Technology, PuneSCIT Class Of '14 | Admissions Team | Helpline Numbers: +919960895085 | +918554070350 | +918554070325
I would like to add on to this that PGDITBM is operational at SCIT for the past 4 years but only for International students. This is the first time it is open for Indian students.

@srikanthm1987 thanx a ton..!! :)

I found some kind of mismatch which can create a problem to 1s who are weak at essay wrting.

SNAP score 180 Marks scaled down to 40 Marks
Attributes as defined by SCIT 20 Marks
Group Excersice 20 Marks
Personal Interview 20 Marks
Total 100 Marks

Then what about WRITTEN COMMUNICATION TEST ???

Hi Manoj

PGDITBM was a course offered only to international students for the past 4 years. The course curriculum is structured in such a way to help the candidates who want to do a 1 year MBA. We usually have students from Japan who have work experience enrolling for the course and Some enrolled for the course by taking a sabbatical/leave from the company and then joined the company back after completing the course and some have gone back to their home country and joined in a different profile inline with the course they have done. Coming to placements, as you must be aware that International students usually prefer going back to their country and work.

Now, the institute has opened it for all Indian students as well so the placements are a part and parcel of the course. If you have gone through the course curriculum closely, the course will begin from June and will run rigorously till January-Feb, there after there will be time allocated to complete the "Project" (Part of the curriculum) which is a 8 Credit Course. Placements will be expected to begin during this period.

The idea of the course being offered to only experienced candidates (18+) is to provide Industry Ready Students for immediate joinings.

Hope this clears all your queries regarding PGDITBM.

Written Communication Test will be evaluated as a part of the Interviews.
