Check with your university. Many Universities have an online procedure for issuing the migration certificate. This is a generic practice required to be followed by all the universities in India, so your college/University wouldn't mind issuing the migration certificate.

Hi,
yes it is compulsory to submit the migration certificate...If your university is delaying the issue of the same..please apply for it and send a copy of the receipt to show that you have applied for the same...However when the college starts in june you are supposed to have the migration certificate with you...

Yes it is a mandate to submit the migration certificate. You can submit this certificate while joining the college too i.e. in June. You will just have to write a letter in that case stating that you have applied for the same along with the receipt of application.
means the freshers and backwards students r left out and its like to say tht the placement figure will still go down as they are lowest performers..!!please corrct me if i am wrong
You are completely wrong 😃
Freshers and "backwards students" (wonder whatever does that mean!! ) have also been included as part of the stats. Just because there still are students who are yet to secure a placement, it does not mean that they have been "left out" or, are the "lowest performers". The placement season is still on, companies are continuing to visit the campus and also, students are pretty focused and await a company / profile of their choice. 😃

Hi Abhimanyu,
I don't have the actual stats for last year's waitlist movement as last year the waitlist numbers were given only in the 2nd list unlike this year.
However I can give you a rough estimate. The movement in the 2012 waitlist was around 90 to 110 till the final list. In 2011, the waitlist clearance was till 170 Rank. So by the last two year's trend, the number of selected candidates opting out has decreased.
There will be movement in the waitlist even in June but by what numbers is not predictable at all. It totally depends on the students who have paid fee opting out of admission.
