means the freshers and backwards students r left out and its like to say tht the placement figure will still go down as they are lowest performers..!!please corrct me if i am wrong
No. Lowest Performers? Nothing Like that. The assumption is wrong that freshers are only left for placement 😃 ! Placement Figure may rise up irrespective of the time left for the season. We have very good companies coming to campus so we can expect the figures to rise !

Hi

Pre-Induction Program is like a Bridge Course, where all the basics of economics, finance etc. courses are covered in order to bring all the students on the same level, as you know students from diverse backgrounds join the program. So, after this online course one is ready to start off his MBA course in june 😃 !

does everybody have to join this ?? It is not possible for me to go to pune before the start of the session (5th june) .. what shall I do now ? guide me please.

@SreeSharan.s I have few doubts. Please help me :)
1)Are we suppose to send the documents before 18th march(last date of paying fees) along with the fees ? or is it fine ,if we send them later on ?

2)are we allowed to choose our room mates ??

Hi Abhimanyu,I don't have the actual stats for last year's waitlist movement as last year the waitlist numbers were given only in the 2nd list unlike this year. However I can give you a rough estimate. The movement in the 2012 waitlist was around 90 to 110 till the final list. In 2011, the waitlist clearance was till 170 Rank. So by the last two year's trend, the number of selected candidates opting out has decreased. There will be movement in the waitlist even in June but by what numbers is not predictable at all. It totally depends on the students who have paid fee opting out of admission.Hope this helps you. All the Best!
You mean the movement of wait listed people in the 'second list' was 90 to 110?! Since there was no waitlist and only merit list in the first round of results, it is possible that some people who had not converted in the first round of merit list converted when the second list came out and the rest were again put into the waitlist?

A total of around 90 waitlisted candidate converted in the last 3 lists. I don't have the stats for 2nd list movement.

But we have to keep our property, value of which must be more than loan amount, as a security to the bank.. What if someone dont have that much of property? Is there anyother way for him? Or it is like, if he is not eligible for loan, he is not eligible to study at symbiosis?

What are chances for coversion of Wait List - 82 ?

Hi Jishan,
Neither the Institute nor the University can interfere with the terms and conditions of the bank. We can just facilitate the process in terms of faster processing and lower interest rates which are mentioned in my earlier post. Apart from that you have to abide by the terms of the banks.

yes ofcourse

I really do not understand the motive behind putting interim placement report at this course of time. I have already converted the call but seeing the activities since last one month have made me quite skeptical and in dilemma to go for it. It seems as the college was well aware of the fact that this is the apt time to put up the placmnt report. As the one who have grabbed the offers would surely make the avg go high. There was no point in putting the report 2 mnths down the line when ppl who will remain unplaced or will grab lower pay package need to be included making the avg go low. At this stage they have put up the report which we can say is out of cream of the batch, the guys with good work ex, good acads and good CGPA. But what abt those who are unplaced. I havn't seen a college coming out with a placmnt report in mid course of placmnt season. This is just to make make us feel happy abt the colg but the fact is far away from reality. If this would have been the case obviously the IIM's or other top colleges would have come up with the report when their avg would have been at peak high. Guys i am not against the college but seeing the trend puts me in lot of doubts, think twice before you spend your hard earned money.

Seems logical and reasonable but tell me something - don't you have confidence, don't you believe in yourself? If you do, and you are sure that you'll be an above average student, i don't think this should be a problem.
@Snapobhia if u think this way ..then y SCIT u can go and have your mba from any(C,D...grade colg.) If u r good then obviously you will be paid more if not from campus recruitment surely from off campus. There are certain things which will not be in our hands two years down the line thats y we have to look at avg, current placmnt stats, and the way the SCIT is coming with interim placmnt reports it surely creates a doubt in our mind. Also wat abt folks with low acads, this IT industry is not gonna show any mercy as per eligiblity criteria is concerned.
