Dear Sir, I have completed my B.tech in 2008 and then completed my MBA in 2008-10.. From then, I m working as Area- Manager/ Business Development Manager in India's biggest battery manufacturer company. ( Exide Ind. Ltd.).. But it hasnt done well to my career and i m looking forward to go ahead. i have 60% throughout my career..Now i have a work- ex of 3 years ( as on 7/6/13) after completing my mba as Area- Manage .Kindly suggest.
1. I moved to IT area after graduating in B.E[Hons] Chemical from BITS-Pilani. I am working in this field for 5 yrs. I have been to 4 countries [Philippines, Jordan, Bahrain & Malaysia]. Good experiences in client locations. Now I would like to have career change in terms of industry and functional. I came to know from 2008, atleast 50% of the class having career progression having both functional and Industry shifts in ISB. And at least 70% in either. I confident once admitted I can apply some extra effort to make my goal successful. Does ISB encourage incoming class aspiring career change in terms of Industry and functional after 5 yrs of Experience ?
2. Considering evaluators, I have proved myself versatile and adaptable in different areas. But I worked under same supervision for 4.5 yrs. So choosing two evaluators from the same management group may eventually land up highlighting same attitude and strengths of mine. Please provide some insight why ISB needs 2 recommendations, So that I can choose 2nd evaluator efficiently.
I have recently given the GMAT. The scores will reach ISB in 20 days time. Can i start my application in the mean time on the ISB site (Filling all the details other than official score) ?. Also what are the importance of AWA & IR scores of GMAT in the Admission Shortlisting.? Hoping u could throw some light on the queries
In the above mentioned Link incoming class size of 2013-14 was mentioned but not 2014-15. How many students would you be admitted for PGP 2014-15 at Hyderabad and Mohali ?
I just created a new application for ISB pgp admission and instead of adding Post Qualification Work Experience till March 2013,I entered it as of today. Please guide me how can I channge that number as i am not able to find that field in my application.
I have been working with Vodafone for past two years and look forward to round 2 of ISB admission. I still have to appear for GMAT. Kindly suggest before what date I should give my GMAT exam for round2 eligibility.
I am ISB Aspirant for 2014-2015 batch. Could you please tell whether there is any last date to give GMAT to apply for Second Round? I am giving my GMAT on 31-Oct-2013.
I am an aspirant applying for the 2014-15 season. I have already registered on the site and have begun filling information one by one. I was planning to re-take my GMAT early in August, get a better GMAT score and use that for my R1 application.
However, it appears I may need some more time for GMAT and hence is planning to re-take the GMAT a few months later and apply for R2.
My question is regarding the application which I am currently updating. Would my profile be available when the R2 season opens or do I need to re-register again ? Would it affect my prospects in any way ?

I have joined my current company in 2006. However, i have taken a two year leave for doing my masters at IIT D. Further as i progressed in my career there was a change in my profile and responsibilities. My question is.. Can i show my current profile as current employer and previous profiles in past employers. If that is not the case what is the best way to show what i did as my career progressed.
I have always heard that there are 3 parameters on which a profile is evaluated- Academics(includes work ex), Leadership potential and diversity.
In my case my 10th %age is 78(which is not considered in profile), 12th %age is 58, graduation %age is 74 and work exp will be around 3 years(by 31st march 2014) in IT sector. Which sums up as Low on academic pillar unless I score high on GMAT to compensate it.
If I look to my profile as a complete package, Leadership potential and diversity can be calculated as above average.
So my question is what is the minimum GMAT score required to make my academic pillar strong.
And what could be the potential cutoff or threshold for GMAT considering above facts...
I am a re-applicant and planning to take Gmat before R1.
I have a query regarding work ex. I hold an undergrad degree in Marine Tech.I was trained and sponsored by a shipping company during my entire degree, which included full time sailing on international waters for 18 months as a training officer with pay as part of my degree. After I obtained my degree and my sailing license, I have around 1.8 years experience as a navigating officer with the same company.I have taken my GMAT recently and I am planning to apply for R1.I have been associated with this company for almost 7 years now.So how will my work experience be considered?????
This is regarding the application form. I have uploaded the statement of integrity(scanned copy), but I am not able to view it after that. Will it be visible only after I have submitted the entire application?
I am looking for 20014-15 session, considering same i am having 2 query's

Could you please answer the following 3 questions:

3. Can regular applicants (more than 2 years work ex) after getting the admission offer defer it by a year ?

Incoming classes at ISB have GMAT in the 600 to 800 range. Please feel free to call our counseling team to discuss your application questions & approach to essays as merely higher GMAT scores do not ensure interview calls. We expect applicants to showcase their strengths through the essays and other areas of the application as these attributes are not possible to interpret through GMAT scores and academics.
