Hello folks,

Q:87, V:92, CAT:92, BTech, Workex 42 months (IT), Male, General Category. Have a fairly good amount of extra curricular activities. I have received a call from IIM B.. Can I fancy my chances of converting it? or will my CAT Score totally discount my chances?

@SarayuSheshadri I have no Work-ex but it is a amndatory field. What should i fill in there? I tried NA as suggested but choices like Industry Type and start and end date do not accept that as an input. So shoud i fill in something randomly or what should i do? Thanks in advance.

I have 16 months of work experience and I am planning to give all the 3 references from my work. Can I do that ? Or should I give atleast one reference from college ?

Dear Seniors,

In Upload documents section, we are required to upload a Anti Ragging declaration signed by our Parent/Guardian, if someone is staying quite far away from parents, then is any guardian's sign OK? or who else may qualify to do that? Please guide...

Hi Seniors, I have a query , I have a work ex of 40 months ; 28 months in my first company and 12 months in my presently employed company . In the Reason for change should I give the details on why I moved from my first company to the second or should I mention why I am moving from my current job to do an MBA. Kindly throw some light on the same.,

I have 95.4 in class 10th and 88 in class 12th.

My referee wants to know what will be asked in the reference letter an how long it would take to complete it.. can anyone throw some light on this??

Is there an advisable length for the talent and weakness section in the reference letter. My referee wants to know if 70-80 words would suffice because the word limit is 2000 words. I don't want it to look inadequate.

I just wanted to confirm this...Is there really no column for hobbies, extra curricular achievements, etc. or am I skipping some part of the form?

I guess it is to be included in the SOP only..

@CA_Sid Hi, one small query regarding the industry type for my employer. I work with a business consultancy and have worked on projects from telecom and IT sector.

I could not find any item for consulting in the drop down but they do have 'Services, Technology' and 'Services, Telecommunications' in the list. Selecting one of these would do or should I select 'Others' in the Industry Type section.

Hey guys, I've been working on my SOP but can't seem to cut it enough to reach 600 words. Is this number a strict limit or just given as a number to guide applicants on the appropriate length of the SOP? I've managed to whittle it down to 768 words as of now. Would this be okay or should I continue with my editing till I'm under 600?

Dear Aspirants,

I see a lot of you asking about questions asked to referee. But, how does it matter? Shouldn't you be focusing on other important things? Reference is not even a component in the final score! Your PI is! And several times more important than the reference is your SOP! Except for a few 'how to write SOP' posts, I see no one else is as concerned about it as you are about references.

And more importantly, if your question is not adding value to the thread its only going to make it that much more difficult for your juniors to find out information from this thread next year. Try and keep your thread clean. If info about references is what you want, scroll down! Take that much effort to find the post you are looking for.

Expecting you to make much better use of this thread from now.
