To clear a few doubts pertaining to Final Placements at NITIE for the batch of 2014-16, this is a consolidated post:
The average salary for people with low work-ex (less than 20 months) come under Common Recruitment Process (CRP) was 14.09 LPA (Not including PPOs)
While, the average salary for people with higher work-ex (more than 20 months) come under Lateral Recruitment Process (LRP) was 15.25 LPA (Not including PPOs)
The average salary for students who got Pre-placement offers (PPOs) was 18.5 LPA
The above figures are for the entire batch of PGDIM & PGDISEM combined.
The average salary for only PGDIM students was approx 17 LPA
The average salary for only PGDISEM students was approx 12.5 LPA

Hello Dhruv ! I tried calling the admin office to make sure of the refund policy which you said earlier but couldnt talk to anyone coz they must be busy. I wanted to know few things regarding it :
1. I know you arent sure about the last date of withdrawing , but you must be having a idea about the tentative date , right ?
2. How do we initiate the withdrawing process and when ? Do we have to send a mail stating that I want to withdraw my seat or do I need to go personally to the NITIE campus and apply for withdrawal ? And if we send a mail , how fast will they react to save our money from not being refunded ?
4.19 Lakhs is a huge sum !!!
When will the course begin this year and what is the last date before which money can be withdrawn?
Problem is my NITIE OBC MR is 112 which I think will be converted in the coming wl. But my SJMSOM obc wl is 93 which will go on till july 1st week to know if its converted or not.By that time I will have locked my amount with NITIE which cant be refunded once the course begins.
Seems lyk I cant even wait to know whether SOM is convrtd or not.What should be the best thing that can be done? (I prefer SOM over NITIE)Please help out TIA
I have the following questions. Plz answer:
1. Shall we be provided with laptop?Or if not, Will we be able to hire one from the institute,like the process in IITs?If any one of them is true, I will not bring a laptop by my own.
2. What are the various clubs(like drama, chess, etc, not like mar, fin)? I am particular about photography club. Does NITIE have one?
I have a doubt. My university calculates the final percentage by subtracting 0.75 from total and then multiplying by 10. In nitie they are directly multiplying it by 10. I mentioned this at the time of certificate verification also but they said they will follow their own rule. Also total dgpa is calculated based on different weightage for different years, that also they didn't consider. Won't it be a problem in the future? Please seniors help me on this.
I am facing a weird situation out here. I work for TCS and my PL is not keen on letting me resign without serving 3months of notice period. What they are suggesting is to opt for- Leave without pay for two years. Here I will be given all my details( work ex, joining) written down on a company letter head. Now this is the only way I can get out with least resistance. Once I am out, I can resign by mail after a few months and get the entire process done well before the placements and all.
Now, will this suffice for documents needed during admission? Or do I specifically need the relieving letter?

Need some genuine suggestion from you guys n seniors. I hv 3 yrs of work ex in Opr profile n I m not sure about which stream I would choose in MBA. I don't know much about the possibility of changing stream in MBA as well as placement related issues. Taking everything into consideration, which one out of the two do u think should I go for.
