I would suggest you to solve last year's IIFT Paper within the actual time that is alloted. If you are able to score 30+ marks, then you should def give IIFT. If you score 25+ marks, then also give it a try. Hope this helps.. !!
Does GIM have sectional cutoff ? And 1 thing more, the cutoff you mentioned above, is this for general category ?
1. For the last 3 years, there have been no sectional cut offs at GIM. The trend is expected to continue.
2. Yes, the cut off I mentioned above is for General Category. There is no reservation at GIM. There are no reservations for goan candidates also but for selection for the Group Discussion and Individual Interview, the qualifying cut-off XAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin.
@chitresh1990 said: GIM is not rated in top 30 colleges by Pagalguy...And the average package is comparable to IMT G... how come...Please anyone justify...thank you.
1. Rankings on Pagalguy are perception based. Rankings are not only about average package.
2. IMT-G is a very old college and has a very good brand name in the market/corporate.
3. GIM-Goa is an upcoming college which has been emerging in the last 5-6 years. So it is still lacking in visibility.

1. Yes, you def can make it to good colleges like IIM's or MDI or FMS even if you have a year drop.
2. Give your best for CAT 2012. At max, you might have to justify the reasons of your drop in the GD/PI. There are no negative marks for drop. Hope this helps. All the Best.. !!
@[370697:avinashkrjha] Thanx a lot !! I'm looking forward to give my best. For applying into MDI, IMT and FMS we have to fill these colleges' separate forms after filling the CAT form???

Yes, apart from IIM's, you need to apply separately to all the colleges.
MDI will have it's last date before the start of CAT Exam Window. So stay tuned to this thread and other relevant threads for the updates.
