Can anyone please suggest some good options for colleges based on 70 to 80 %ile CAT score, as I mentioned on my last post.
There aren't much options in this range if you aspire for Top 30 B-Schools.

If at all you want options, you can go for

BIMTECH
KJ Retail
XIME
SIES
Wellingkar
IMT Nagpur, etc

sir , is thr any chance for me for getting a call frm iims if my cat percentile is above 85 in SC category
Yes, you would stand chance for few of the IIM's if not all.. !!
@NeilR BIM, Trichy has reservations for SC students outside Tamil Nadu. All the best :)
@avinashkrjha Thanks a lot actually I belong to NC OBC so lets see what happen hope for the best

I plan to specialize in finance during my second year of MBA. Which colleges would be best suited for this?

@pr88 You can expect a score of 95+ and also a decent chance of getting calls from some new IIMs (maybe some old ones like IIM-S also) as your acads are very strong.

Regarding your query about group work/assignments etc. Well isn't that what working in corporate all about? TEAMWORK! You will have to either CONVINCE them to work according to your timing, OR GIVE IN and work according to them OR NEGOTIATE with them to arrive at a consensus!! (Some key learning's for an MBA in caps!!) And not everywhere the professor decides the groups. Sometimes students are left to form groups on their own. Whichever way it is one has to learn to manage. You won't get the freedom to choose your team and all that when working in an organization. Will you? So how will you manage then in same scenario?

sir,my agg r 10th - 92% , 12th - 90% , grad - 81% . all mocks- 85-90 percentile . n i'm an sc candidate . in which b schools shld i apply .
You have good acads, a good cat score would fetch you calls from all premier b-schools.
for safe side i would suggest you to apply in good schools of your choice.
@eshitaa Add IFMR (cut off-75) also to the list avinash has already said. :)

Then again focus on other exams also, and if MBA is not a compulsion this year try once again next year! All the Best! :cheerio:
@kunalp23 MFC/MBE is one I know of. @avinashkrjha may be able to suggest few others. :)

Last Year Cut Off

1. XLRI BM-90 PMIR-88
2. XIMB 94 in both CAT and XAT with Sectionals
@OMG_CAT I'm sorry, not too sure about XISS Ranchi. If you're sure of the career path you want then go for sector MBA. It will have good scope. AFAIK, almost all the institutes I posted for Oil & Petroleum Management has PSU's like IOCL, HPCL etc. recruiting from there.

But if you're not sure of specialization you want, then go for general MBA and then choose specializations in 2nd year based on the basic understanding you'll get in 1st year. But then the electives will only be in the broad areas viz. Operations, Marketing, HR etc.
