[2023] Which B-Schools should you apply to?

For those who are confused about applying to IB Courses -->

1. Even IB Course is an MBA Course only (in my opinion). Just that you are doing your MBA in IB Course.

2. How is it different from normal MBA Course --> A lot of subjects and case studies are designed to take care of business scenarios from view points like International Political Environment, Foreign Markets (How it operates and how to enter into it), Foreign Consumers, Foreign Financial Markets, Taxation in foreign countries, Import-Export Chain (Supply Chain), etc.

3. There is a focus on diversity and multicultural concerns, International relations and Business strategies sensitive to International Issues.

4. Placements can be in almost all the sectors just like normal MBA students have. International Business Course covers every aspect of industry with just a particular focus on IB i.e. globalization related aspects.

I am expecting a percentile of around 85. What good colleges could I be able to and should apply?...according to u guys...

Other than IIFT , which colleges offer a decent course in PGDM IB ?
@mavericmonck MDI, IMT, FORE, MIB/MHROD (Delhi School of Economics), KJSOM are few others I know of. But then the placements are not necessarily only international (going by the name and course structure) in any of those institutes including IIFT. There are domestic placements also and that would be majority AFAIK.

puys, i came to know last year cut off of SP Jain was just 85 %ile..

SP Jain gives two types of calls - 1) Profile Based Calls 2) Score Based.
85%ile was the cut-off for profile based
and
95%ile for score based.

@ansh12345 what about xat cutoffs?

SP Jain gives the profile based call. So candidate who has extremely good acads can get call even with the score of 85%ile.

Not sure but it could be 85+ for profile based and 90+ for score based in XAT with
sectionals 70+

just addition to this. even in score-based calls the profile is taken into consideration.

I second @avinashkrjha .
Just to summarize, MBA in International Business will cover general MBA subjects as well as IB specific subject (International Business, International Trade Finance, FEMA, International Marketing, Country Strategy, Sector Strategy, Foreign language etc ).
Alternatively, you can compare list of subject with general MBA by clicking http://www.somaiya.edu/VidyaVihar/media/pdf/List_of_Subject_Final.pdf
So, MBA in International Business is an added advantage.
Those who have any query regarding MBA (IB) can PM me.
