FMS CONSIDERS CAT SCORE FOR ADMISSION?????

@ashushasha said: puys does anyone new about national institute of banking management pune.is this a good college?

NIBM Pune :

1. College is good.

2. Cut off is approximately 75-80%ile (Check the last year's PG thread for exact cut off).

3. Placements are also decent.

But, let me tell you one more thing. If you get anything above 85-90%ile, its better to let go of NIBM. Suppose you go to NIBM and after studying for 2 years you get a job in a bank at the MMG scale II officer level. Sounds very good. But you could also get the same profile after working in any govt. bank for 2 years as a bank PO. So why to let go of the money which one can earn in 2 years + the college fees (If you can clear PO Exam right now).

Hope this helps.

I would suggest you not to worry about it much at this stage as it is not something that is in your hands. Also colleges change the criteria almost every year, so wait to see how things go on for this season. For time being, focus on preparation and maximize your CAT/XAT Score. Rest can be taken care of at latter stages. If you score very high in CAT, you can def get few IIM Calls. ATB.. !!

@shanker1
Difficult but not impossible. ATB

@avinashkrjha thanks buddy..............
i thought thats it may be a good collg and only unknown to people.but i am aiming for top 10 institutes so filling its form is of no use and i am confident that i will secure the required percentile for top 10 in cat

Ashushasha, one more thing i would like to add is that it is good that you are pretty much sure to get a good percentile in CAT for top ten colleges, but i would still suggest that go for colleges in all the ranges, prepare for the worst.

Fill 2-3 forms in the 85-90 category, few forms in 90-95 category and max number of forms in 95-100 category.

Also dont ignore XAT,SNAP and other such exams as there are many good colleges that take non CAT scores also.

So just go for it. All the best. Cheers!!!
@asa

even SP Jain, a premier B-school in Mumbai, accepts XAT scores.
@supratimd916 THANK U
@asa TAPMI Manipal also accepts XAT 2013 scores...

is TAPMI an above average college?? Shall we consider it after all that is going on in the northeast states ?

please throw light in SP JAIN MGB and GMBA PROGRAM

1.TAPMI is a good college. It comes in the 90 %ile bracket. Has an average ROI. Good for IT & Ops.

2. Dont worry about the present conditions , its definitely going to improve by the time you take admission.

ATB!!
