Please tell me what is the expected cut off fot IIFM,MANAGE,NIAM,BHU,NIBM PUNE.
It is difficult to predict expected cutoff's for this session . However, it will remain (+ -) 5 %ile of last year cutoff's. FYI, PFB last year cutoff's :
Last year SPM's cut off was around 78%tile, And I thin you stand some chances proving you get above 80%tile.K J somaiya's cut off was 80%tile for PGDM IB.
IMNU (80%ile last year cut off),SIMSR (80%tile for IB and 90%tile for PGDM),BIM Trichy(86.xx%tile),T A Pai(Profile based),MICA(MiCAT),IITs(95%tiles to 98.85%tiles),Welingkar..GLIM cycle 2 starts in feb..IMI and IMT Have reopened their admission window in past. they might follow the same trend this year also..
thanks a lot. does the last day of applying for any of there colleges gets over before 9th?
@BHATIADEEPAK02Decline is because of the fall in number of applicants.Even the CAT Test Takers has reduced in the past few years. So value of %ile has increased.. !!
really......FYI...CAT2012 had more than 2lakh+ aspirants which is more than CAT 2011 and i guess 2012 had the highest no. of aspirants compared to any year.....
@pranoyhydNot compared to "any" year but after CAT 2009 it is the first time CAT registrations has increased. From 2.42 lakh registrations in 2009 it went down to 2.05lakh in CAT 2011 and now it has gone up to 2.14lakh!! I'm talking about registrations here, not actual test takers. Stats for CAT 2012 test takers has not been released yet by IIMK. It will come on Jan 9th I guess. :) Anyways what Avinash has said is about past CAT's. Not CAT 2012! So this year the percentile cutoff's for some institutes MAY go up if there are more test takers (at least 4-5% increase is expected)!!

sir, this year total cat test takers were 1.93 lakhs...as 21000 unable to appear by their own or got rejected due to invalid id proofs.. source: read in mba news during cat on-going season....doesnt have the link..

Not all the people who register for CAT appear for CAT, And Sir is talking about Number of applicants who apply for particular college. 😃
@TONYMBAarticles.timesofindia.indiatim...So then Avinash is still correct I guess. Test takers have reduced and cutoff's MAY see a decline yet again!! CAT 2011 had 2,05,345 test takers!!
last year total cat test takers were around 1.80-1.85 lakhs...and number of applicants were 2.05 lakhs
@TONYMBA, @pranoyhyd, @missionCAT13See how much misleading/confusing information media can bring out!!! (I read somewhere that CAT "test takers" was 2.05lakh last year!).
I think this discussion is pointless and I'm sorry I contributed in literally spamming this thread!! No point in these discussions. CAT exam is done, so jo hona hai ab hoke hi rahega!! :)
Wait for 5 more days and we can do all the analysis in the world (but still do nothing about the %tile one gets)!!! :)
@TONYMBA it does not matter, whether its 1lakh or 2 lakh. it has no co relation with ones preparation. concentrate on prep, not on selction criteria, placement and other issues as of now.

I just replied to a query about how many test takers in CAT which someone asked............
@Aviatorsumit Buddy, check the mandatory disclosure and the PG thread links I've posted as sources. As per mandatory disclosure the cutoff is 50%tile!!! And only last year it seems non-agri students were allowed and cutoff for them was 75%tile as per the PG thread. But no one knows if they'll continue calling non-agri students this year, and unfortunately there seems to be no current student here in PG who can verify it!
@ajaygovindg OK. AFAIK Non agri students are eligible for MANAGE according to their website but NIAM will consider onlu AGRI students. And Now that XIMB RM will accept CMAT 13 score can you tell guess the cutoff.
