Only work ex is not a part of profile. Some of the other things that can make a profile good are :1. Excellent academic profile 2. Renowned name of the college you graduated from (Like IIT's, St Stephens, etc..) 3. Extra-curricular achievementsAnd other achievements if any.
state-national level sports achievement, awards in singing / painting / some hobby, Participation in social service programs or NGOs.. etc..

1. If you are frequently getting this %ile in mocks, you seriously need to do something. Either you are going wrong with concepts or else there is some serious flaw in your strategy.

2. Sit down with individual topics and practise a lot of questions.

3. Also practise all the previous year's CAT Questions.

4. Then attempt the mocks again. Don't apply to any of the colleges as of now. Get back on this thread once you start scoring more than 60-70 in Mocks. ATB.. !!

1. Seeing your acads and decent amount of work-ex, I would suggest you to go only for Top 25/30 B-Schools.

2. You still need to push yourself further into effort making and try to improve your Mock scores. There are still 30 days to go and I am sure you if you use it efficiently, you can do wonders.

3. I suggest you to apply to all the Govt B-Schools : NITIE, MFC/MBE, MIB/MHROD, FMS, IIT's.

4. Apart from this, you can apply to few more colleges after attempting CAT and after your CAT results. Get back to this thread at that time.

1. You can write it as 86.4 %.

2. You def have a chance to make it to FMS or even IIM's if you clear the cut off's.

3. Yes, you should.

4. Since you have the advantage of being NC-OBC, anything above 95%ile would be considered a very safe bet for getting calls from Top B-Schools. ATB.. !!

Hi

My academics results-
Class 10 - 92.0 %
Class 12 - 88.8%
B Tech - 80 %
no work experience
Any chance of IIM's call ?
I heard they do not prefer engineers and more over with no work experience , it is very difficult to get through in first attempt.

1. Having work-ex or not doesnot matter much.

2. You have decent academic record.

3. If you can manage to score good in CAT, you would def get most of the IIM Calls.

SPJain have two criteria for listing students :
1 is powerful CAT/XAT score & 2nd is powerful extra curricular activities.
Last year onw of my frnd with 98.7 CAT score got a call, where for the same year our college's Best student award winner who ws indeed a national level swimmers with 2 medals got into SPJain with mere 91 percentile...

how many calls IIM- A, B, C L, I, K gives individually? any idea..? any specific criteria for any specific B-school...!!
