My bad!

BTW the reason is:
For IIM-Indore the FCS for the previous year's batch:
Final Composite Score (FCS) = CAT 2011 (50%) + WAT (15%) + PI (35%)

Brother, please check the PG Rankings. ABCL are better ranked than I. Apart from that, the criteria of A,B is different (%ile + work-ex + acads). C needs a very high %ile (99.5+).

Now, please take some pain from your side as well to read the shortlisting criteria of every IIM.. !!!

anyone pls help with some genuine info.

Does IMI re-open its form filling post-cat or do we have to do it before 9th oct as it is mentioned on the site??? Also tell about IMT ghz.

Nothing can really be said for sure here. If the number of applicants have been under the estimated levels, then usually the colleges extend their application dates.

However, in the case of IMI, I have never heard that happening. About IMT I cannot comment, as they have been changing their style of application and admission process for the last few years.

If you are confident of getting 95+ percentile, I would suggest you NOT to wait for the extension.

IMI re-opened the window for the last season.

IMT has been doing that for the last 2-3 seasons as per my knowledge.

No one can comment on what will happen this time.

So, to be safe I would suggest you to apply.

For IMT, you can still wait till you give your CAT as the deadline is Post CAT Exam.

All the Best.. !!

@avinashkrjha @BABA_Pencho am not sure as my AIMCAT percentiles are oscillating betn 50-90. hwever last year my aimcat percentiles were betn 30-60 and got 80 in actual CAT. So am hoping good, as am working hard, but still not sure cause this syllogism can't be taken as granted.... So cud u suggest me wat other clgs i can apply if not these.
My acads
84 (10th)
83 (12th)
69.1(Grad, BE)

Also only from top 25 clgs iims not included.

1. As of now, apply to : IMI

2. After you give your CAT Exam, you can apply to :

MFC/MBE (If interested in Fin/Eco)
NITIE (Cut Off 97+)
NIRMA (Cut Off in the range of 80-85)
KJ-SOM (around 90)
IMT (90+)
FORE (80's)
LBS (80's)

3. After Results are announced, based upon your CAT Score, you can apply to following colleges :

TAPMI
BIM-T
IIT's
LIBA

4. XAT Based Colleges

XLRI (Sectionals are there)
XIMB (Sectionals are there)
GIM (No sectionals in the last 3 years)

5. Hope this helps. Get back for any further query.. !!

Look! I am not deterring you or something, but you see there are thousands of people having a similar academic record as yours, and most of them will take up CAT.
To maximize your chance of getting into the creamier IIMs you need to be in the Top 1%. AT LEAST!
You see, if there are 2 lakh applicants, then one percentile means 2000.
At 99th percentile, there are 2000 odd people competing with you. Think of the odds of getting even a call from ABCL
That is where profiles are compared.
All of that above gyaan was to highlight one point - Please don't feel bad if you don't get a call even after scoring a 99+ percentile. There might have been better profiles than yours on the same score.
Even though your profile might be good in a lot of other colleges, the IIM door might open for you only at a supremely high CAT percentile!
@BABA_Pencho not at all deterring...thank you for the post as i need to face reality..be practical and apply to colleges which can accept my profile...the schools i am applying to are
IIFT ,FMS, MDI , XLRI, XIMB, SCMHRD, SIBM and NMIMS - as these are the schools, which according to puys on this thread give relatively lesser importance to academics and more on exam scores...is that ok?any insights?
hi,
my acads and work ex is,
10th - 70%
12th - 56%
engg - 65%
mtech-73%
work- ex :- 24 months
is there any chances of getting any top 20 b-schools for such profile and preferably which college will be from 20 college by managing good marks in that respective entrance for that colleges.

1. There are chances for sure if you score high in CAT (99+)

2. SOme of the options could be :

FMS (CAT)
MDI (CAT)
XLRI (XAT)
NMIMS (NMAT)
IIT's (CAT)

3. All the Best.. !1

@avinashkrjha my category is NC-OBC

Then you will have good chances for the Govt Colleges like FMS, few IIM's, etc.

But having said that, don't be complacent and aim for a very high score. All the Best.. !!

@avinashkrjha Thanks sir...... but why IMI? Is there any chance of my getting there with such a profile if i get %ile just above the req percentile for IMI in CAT?

As per trend of last 2 years, they have been setting a cut off of 60/65 % in 10th,12th and Grads.

That doesn't mean it will be the same this year. It could be 70 and it could be 50 as well. That depends on pool of applicants.

So you can take a chance, but I am not very hopeful. That is why I din't suggest IMI. ATB.. !!

Hi guyz,

What was the cut off for KJ som and SIMSREE in CMAT last year....

Hi,

I have completed my B.E. with 49% aggregate. However our university only prints the percentage obtained in the final year on the degree certificate which is 57%. So,my question is am I eligible to apply to colleges which state minimum requirements as "a Bachelor ₮â„Ēs Degree with at least 50% marks" or "Graduate (under 10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks" ?

In my view, you are eligible but it might vary with college as well. So I will suggest you to confirm this with every college once before applying. All the Best.. !!

For the Maharshtra Colleges, there is a centralised process. After written exam, one needs to go through a common GD/PI and then a merit list is prepared and Ranks are given. Then admission takes place through CAP Rounds on the basis of your Merit Rank.
