Give your best. You stand a good chance.

You should def have other B-Schools also in mind based upon your expectation level and interests.

What i can feel is that you are interested in Marketing.

Some of the B-Schools that you could apply to ---> MDI, XLRI, NMIMS, JBIMS, SIBM, XIMB.

For Back Up ---> IMT, GIM, SCMHRD.

Hi.. Need suggestions on which Post Grad Courses should I bother to apply. My interest is research- either Finance, Economics or Public Policy, International Affairs. My CAT percentile in 2010 was 90(+-1) Percentile, however, my mock performance hasn't been satisfactory, with going as high as 80 Percentile to 50-60 Percentile.
X- >90 %
XII- =80 % (Exact)
Grad - 76.5 % B. Tech
Work Ex- >1,
Kindly advise.
PS- I Do not mind studying in FPM programs if at a prestigious (read IIM) institute.
Thanks.
A typical MBA programme in India offers little scope for research. You should try out for FPM programmes, IMO
@Quantohelp Hey, thanks. I am afraid, I have no idea what IMO stands for !
@DonZ Indian Management Organisation. They don't have a website. You can get admission only on recommendations from existing faculty members of premier institutes. It's sort of secretive.

I guess most of the IIMs offer FPM programs.
Please note that getting a good score in CAT would definitely be an advantage though some FPM programmes do not require candidates to have written the CAT exam.
Your academic scores look good. You have scored 90 percentile before. With a little extra planning and effort, I dont think anything can stop you.

Please browse the websites of individual institutes to get more accurate details regarding the eligibility criteria and admission procedures.
@pro15 First of all this isn't the place to post this. That apart your blog is such rubbish.
@pro15 Spammers deserve nothing better.

I went through google but cudnt find anything helpful !!
please suggest...
@harsh1889 SP Jain, and all IIT's
@anand5787 Can you please share the cut-offs for MBA in IT in SP JAIN and IIT's ??

hi,avinashkrjha I have some materials which can help you in the CAT.If.my email id is animesh.mohapatra u need it send me ur email id.my email id is [email protected]..

SP jain has two criteria for shortlisting students.

Profile based and Score based
For profile based you need to have a strong academic background with relevant work-ex
Last year cut off was 85+
For score based, you need to score above 95+ in CAT 2012
As for IIT's , for general category students, if am not wrong, the cut off was 94+ in CAT for all IIT's.
@anand5787 Thanks a lot :)
