you can look for snap colleges too but they are not renowned like IIT's but can take them as your backup in case you want to take admission in this year only
@anand5787 yes i want to take admission this year only...i only had one college that i knew was for IT and that was SCIT..so that is always a option if i dnt get thru SP jain ..

Total Academic Fee including Tuition Fee is 10.5 Lacs

Hostel Fee comes to around 90/95 K for 2 years.. !!

Hi All,

Just wanted to know about the college which i should opt for according to my profile which goes like this:

10th--- 78.4% (CBSE)

12th---- 75.0%(CBSE)

B.E.(CSE)-- 76.3% (Hons.)

and work ex in an IT MNC--23 months till now.

and not so great extra curricular at the college level only.

Also please give some insights on the specialisations also.

Plzz help me esp. the seniors who has already faced such situations.

Also do i have chance for some big league colleges like Xavier group collges,SPJAIN,IIT's and IIM's etc.?

I am highly confused which one to go for??

There is nothing to be confused brother.. :)

You stand chance for almost every B-School (except for 3-4 colleges) in India if you score high in CAT.

Apply to MDI as the deadline is 10th Oct 2012.

For rest, you can decide Post CAT Exam/Result.

Get back for any further query. ATB..

Thanks for replying... Another thing to ask is ive got nearly 2 n a half months to prepare... Joined CL mocks... Quant is good enough.. I need to brush up with verbal... Could u please recommend some material.. If i get some online stuff tat would be best

Thanks a lot avinash....!!!

I think i have missed MDI as in any case i won't be able to send my form to MDI by tomorrow

:-(

Also i want to ask for whether we have to apply separately to SPJAIN for profile based call and Score bassed call..i mean do i have to pay the fees twice for applying to SPJAIN in this case?

Till now i have filled only 2 forms i.e. NMAT and CAT....which all are good colleges with a good ROI ?

As far as I know, you need to apply only once.

I would still suggest you to visit the website once. You will get all the confirmed details from there..

It is a very relative question that you are asking. A particular college X can be good for a person A and could be bad for a person B. It is you who has to take a call after doing some research about the college.

Right now, what best you can do is to apply to colleges ranked higher as per various sources (PG, TIME, CL, etc) and decide on which college to join later on. This is the time when you should focus more on performance. You will get lot of time to do R&D; about the college once you convert it. All the Best... !!

Thanks a ton Avinash..you are doing a wonderful job by helping all!!!!

@avinashkrjha now is it possible to apply for MDI as form need to send before 10th oct??

If doing MBA is a compulsion this season, target the Top 35/40 Colleges (with 1-2 additions) as per PG Rankings.

Else, target the Top 20/25 (With 1 or 2 more as back ups). For any specific query regarding college, PM Me.. !!

Hello, as CAT result will be declared in january and till then the last date for registration at most of the B-schools will be over.I am not sure about my expected %ile as my MOCKS are reflecting it.so what should i do, i am particularly intrested in FMS-DU, FMS-BHU,LBSIM etc. but their last date for registration is in early november and the min. 5ile they demand is way too high.
Thank you
