2. But why are you restricting yourself only to Eastern India?
3. See your performance in mock. Based on that and your expectation level, apply to the good b-schools across nation. Then decide on where to join. MBA is something that you do only once. So I would suggest you not to apply based only on location.
4. All the best.
@[581157:pram85] but it was actually done after my 3 yrs of course, and bridge course just authenticates that whatever i did in those 3 yrs is counted on my graduation profile....just the date on cert is 2012, even the earlier semester marks are of the one from my course, only the last sem is added in 2012....
hello..
i have very low academics... 10th -68% and 12 -62% .... i am scoring 90%+ in mocks... there is still any any chance to iims if a get a 98%+ in cat

As pram85 said, there are def chances if you score very high in CAT. It could be very tough to get into IIM A or B, but there are good chances in other IIM's if you score high CAT %ile... !!
@[316381:visionIIM-ACL]:wats the difference btw PGDM, MBA(full time) and PGDM.
@[370697:avinashkrjha]
But it would be very difficult to manage your family business along with doing MBA. And you def can't manage if you wish to do MBA from Top B-School. So I would still suggest you to think on this.
Hypothetical Question -
My profile
10th - 71.2
12th - 66.6
B.Tech(completed in six years 2006-2012 ; had an accident
64.3 (First Division)
Work ex - Nil
Extracurricular - Nil
My dream institute is IIM-Calcutta. If i score 100 percentile, can i get admission in IIM-C inspite of having consistently average acads. What innovation i can do to my profile to convert IIM-C call.
In India, only those colleges offer an MBA degree that are affiliated to some university. Institutes that are not affiliated to any university are autonomous and offer PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management). These programs are approved by Government accreditation bodies such as AICTE.
A PGDM Holder cannot go for PHD generally. But if the PGDM course is recognised as being equivalent to an MBA by Association of Indian Universities, then one can go for PHD as well. So that is the only difference.
Hope this helps.. !!

The criteria keeps changing depending upon Industry Requirements. But IIM-Joka has been a college giving more weightage to CAT Score. So, try to score high %ile in CAT, at least 99.6+.
Last year's criteria for IIM-C for a GD/PI Call : http://www.iimcal.ac.in/sites/default/files/Cut-off_2012_GDPI.pdf
Right now you should focus on CAT Preparation. After you are done with it, you can focus on the conversion part. All the Best.. !!
