i hav reciever a call from fore !! and would lik to kno about the gd/pi pattern .
wot should the preparation b lik and wot is expected ??

hi seniors, i got a call from FORE.my percentile is 93.11.
i need a little help of yours. could anyone of you tell me the answer to why mba.
also i have cleared my ca pe 2 examination. but i do not wish to continue with ca. so they
may probably screw my up on this. please tell me what could be the probable reply .
please reply asap

well present it as CA+MBA...wud add a lot of weightage to ur profile than killing ur CA aspirations.....(as said earlier...be diplomatically correct)

3 panelists...2 will be college faculty and 1 person from the corporate industry....for GD, prepare well about the recent topics in the papers....the growth of indian economy etc....and for interviews be well prepared with wut uv written in ur form....acads,hobbies etc!!!

the gd/pi call letter that i got for FORE says
Bring with u original and photocopies of certificates and TESTIMONIAL for verfication ........now what do they mean for TESTIMONIALs?

wanted to knw certain things from seniors here!!!

1. do we have to bring all are documents on our GD/PI day like our graduation marksheets, practical training certificates,etc.

2. do they check all these documents before GD/PI begins...

if i may quote the dictionary!! "testimonial n. 1 certificate of character, conduct, or qualifications. 2 gift presented to a person (esp. in public) as a mark of esteem etc. "
it just means if u have ne from ur last college....thts it!!!some schools/colleges give out character certificates!!!the kinds required for applying to foreign university colleges also sumtimes!!!!

congrats on d call....well regarding the gd..and it toughness..its a very relative term..wt mite be very hard for you mite b very easy for some1 else...always remember its not a selection round..its an elimination round..so wt you hv to do der is to make sure that you get through whether its hard or easy..and to be honest u cannot predict whether a gd will be tough or easy..it only depends on the kind of other candidates sitting with you..and be assured that quality is going to be very high in a FORE gd...so be prepared with the relevent topics...try to express ur thoughts properly..and be confident...

hey...to be honest you have the equal probability of getting through as roughly the other 1200 candidates....don't play on chances..just give your best shot..and hope to catch you campus later...

c all these gd/pi are conducted just for a single purpose...to elimate d rest and get the best lot of 150...so whether u take it as evaluation or elimination..its all about SURVIVAL AGAINST ODDS !!!!!!

I have been trying to call the admissions department for a week now, some of the numbers seem to be disconnected while no one picks up the others.

I have also e-mailed them with regard to changing my gd/pi date as it clashes with another call. But the email bounce back.

Can the any of the current students fill me in on what exactly do we have to do to speak to someoen from the admissions dept of FORE?

hey...
refer to my post #318(13th page) for the same...FORE won't consider changing ur dates for clash with other institutes....try to shift the date of the other institute...it only considers wn u hv university exams on the date.....

I am having a website. Actually its a discussion forum containing links to movies music and stuff. u can say that its promote piracy to some extent. As i wrote in FORE form that i hv a running website so they might ask me what content it have or hv a luk at it and ask me that it supports piracy then why you work on it.

i want to know how should i handle this?

firstly i cud not access ur link...is it wrking presently?the most important thing that matters on d day is ur conviction on ur believes...even napster.com which was started by a group of students in US was said to linger on the boundary of piracy..but today its one of the biggest hit....u can assure them that its not u who is giving the pirated copies of music or stuffa..its just that u are making ppl who are looking for it easier to find one..those contents are already there on the net and its not ur fault...but frankly speaking you shud decide why u went into it...
